Spotlight on American Socialist - Bill Gates

Spotlight on American Socialist - Bill Gates

Yes, that's right. This spotlight on an American Socialist is going to highlight a nerd like no other. Bill Gates. I'm sure you're asking what makes this man a socialist and why you should put him in an McCarty era black book already. How could a man who had the major hand in coming up with what you're more than likely viewing this blog with be considered what America fears.. socialism?

But it's exactly for that reason. He made hundreds of billions of dollars selling overpriced software to the richest 10% of the world and now he's giving almost all of it away to the poorest 10% of the world. Do you have any other word for that than Socialism? I think not. While it's true that he still lives in a 60,000 square foot home, I'm willing to put my name on this being such a role of socialism. Such action is the largest individual downward wealth transfer in history. maybe.. maybe only the super-rich can save us??

The only sad part in all that is that I'm sure it's still not even a fraction of the bank bailout, which is oddly enough the largest upward transfer of wealth ever. Now, I'm sure you'll be quick to point out that all this charity and donation is nothing more than a tax outlet. Yes, Bill Gates is all about getting huge tax breaks by siphoning money into his own organization. And yes, it's true that Bill Gates wouldn't be appreciably less rich if he hadn't antitrusted the hell out of everything.

At this point I should point out that mass redistribution does not always equal socialism. Nor does mass redistributor make one a socialist. Socialism is a body of theory on the administration of production. So maybe this action doesn't just make Bill Gates a socialist. But Andrew Carnegie was a socialist because he built a few libraries after breaking the backs of strikers for decades.

It's a shame that a large portion of the fund are invested in companies that actively promote the poverty that Bill Gates is trying to solve. But hey, he'll keep pushing that rock up that hill with the help of money. The guy has an endless supply of it. Just keep buying those Window products.

It would be interesting to see what would be accomplished if he had spent all that money on lobbyists instead. An assassination or two, perhaps? Him spending his money on ads calling for a tax n the richest 1% would probably do more than him giving every penny he has to Doctors without Boarders (which if you haven't yet, you should really think about donating to them)

I think the only thing that could push Bill Gates into the realm of being a true socialist would be if he'd finance an American Socialist party to be voted in and help an actual transfer of wealth rather than avoiding taxes through his organizations. Just think about Bill Gates spending his money buying senators to vote socialist.

Especially with the new ad campaign rules perhaps he could buy out TV ads for the socialist party there. You know, it would probably be a ton of fun to drop effectively unlimited personal dough on making an advocacy group to just lobbying the fuck out of congress on whatever you want. DANCE PUPPETS! DANCE!

Then again, it would have to be hitting him deep in the pockets to make a dent, even for Bill Gate levels of money considering other lobbying expenditures.
(2009)
US Chamber of Commerce $144,496,000
Exxon Mobil $27,430,000
Pharmaceutical Rsrch & Mfrs of America $26,525,520
General Electric $25,520,000
Pfizer Inc $24,619,268
Blue Cross/Blue Shield $22,715,439
AARP $21,010,000
American Medical Assn $20,830,000
Chevron Corp $20,815,000
National Assn of Realtors $19,477,000
American Beverage Assn $18,850,000
American Hospital Assn $18,347,176
ConocoPhillips $18,069,858
Verizon Communications $17,820,000
FedEx Corp $17,050,000
Boeing Co $16,850,000
BP $15,990,000
National Cable & Telecom. Assn $15,980,000
Northrop Grumman $15,180,000
AT&T Inc $14,729,673
That just shows how much our nation is in the pockets of big business.

Still doesn't change the fact that Bill Gates is so rich he's past the "Must get richer so I can potentially buy anything I could ever want" phase and has reverted back to being a normal human being. Yup, that's how it works when it comes to money. You get the money hunger hypnotize eyes.. and then when you have that McScrooge level of large money bin amount of money you just realize you can and have already bought everything you need.

Maybe Bill Gates is just trying to buy a Nobel Peace prize. Let's be honest, he is more deserving than a war mongering president. Jut look at what he's done for illnesses in those third world countries.

One would start to wonder why Bill Gates spends so much money on eradicating harmful and tragic diseases from third world areas when he could spend that money on pointless elections in a spoiled rich country to effect no worthy change at all. But again, I simply said that it would be comical to try to fuck around with lobbyist. They're the ones who are really screwing over our nation.

Besides all that, Bill Gates can handle his own. I mean, how many times has he been ruthless and fucked over Steve Jobs over and over again? I would say that it has been at least a dozen times now. So I can't help but respect the man. Even if he's not entirely a socialist, he's still using a lot of his cash to help those who are in need.

Besides that, with global warming (which should be called climate change) those illnesses that he's helping eradicate in third world countries is a good thing. Chances are they're going to start showing up soon in the states. I sure can't wait to see when some frozen bacteria starts some super illness that will kill us all. Maybe then the government will work with a little help from the Bill and Melinda Gates Lobbyist foundation..

Smack My Bitch Up

Smack My Bitch Up

If you didn't think of a Prodigy song when you read the title and just jumped tot he conclusion that I was talking about domestic violence, well then, you have been desensitized to the wonders that is domestic violence.

I was going to suggest a internet interactive game to sort of get you to feel numb to the whole domestic violence and link you to a site called HIT THE BITCH but it seems that the Danish folks have decided not to let any non-Danish people play a game where you simply smack someone around to show how "gangsta" you really are as you can read from this letter:
"Dear non-danish visitor,

Due to an extremely high amount of traffic "Hit the Bitch" has been limited to only allow users from Denmark.

However, domestic violence is a global problem, so please support the fight against it in your local country.

Thanks for your interest.

Kind regards
Children exposed to Violence at Home"
But don't worry, those of you who are scared that Children are exposed to Violence at Home can see what the exact video game was all about in this following youtube clip:

I don't know that the audience is actually people who habitually beat women. I don't speak Danish, but the message I got out of it was that cavalier talk about domestic violence, like framing it as pussy/gangsta, further enables abusers.

I know you're asking if there is more than one way to hit her. The answer is no, there's only one way... THE WRONG WAY! See, Danish people. I just made a better impact with my message than your website did.

I don't think this going to have the desired effect on the target audience. "Oh man, I used to beat women.. then I found this website allowing you to beat this chick.. couldn't get enough. I loved it.... then I got 100% gangsta and everything changed..."

Just not going to happen. Advocacy stuff almost never changes the mind of somebody all the way on the opposite side, but it can do a good job of changing opinions of those who've vet to form and solidify an opinion of their own.

The site is not a bad idea but if it were properly revolutionary than after the first time the protagonist raised his (her?) hand in a manner of disrespect to the power of the womyn, she would have chopped off his balls with a cleaver. See, that's my inner feminist coming out.

This really is not going to have a positive effect, except for helping some very disturbed individuals masturbate. I suppose I shouldn't judge. I mean, chicks insulting you in foreign languages might get some people really hot. Definitely justified to rub one out to this.. I mean, seriously, what is the dumb bitch blubbering about?

Which, after talking to a Danish friend of mine who told me what she's saying, it just makes the whole thing just so much worse. So what does she say? I'm sure you'll feel more justified in beating her black and blue

In short, she had a great night out, she danced with someone, you feel like you should decide who. The only thing smaller than your dick is your iq. If you loved me, you wouldn't hit me. Do you feel strong now?? Blah blah blah just generic stuff like that.

What kind of putz designed this? You can't even do a proper backhand. Think outside the box, Danish Violence advocacy board.

Also, you're broadcasting this to the internet? Come on, let's be honest. Most nerds will be shocked by a girl speaking to them to actually do anything to them. If anything, a lot of them will just sit there taking that emotional abuse hoping she will stop being mean to them. Then close the page, thus proving that the real bitch is the internet user...

Why doesn't this girl run away after I hit her like two times? I know, because she's in love with you! But then, why is she calling you an idiot, a fuck face and flipping you off? Well, that's cause you're abusives and it isn't a very healthy relationship.

Lastly, I just want to know how to uppercut. I already tried forward, down, forward/down + punch. God damn it, internet... God damn it, Humanity...

Wolfram And a Lack of Heart

Wolfram And a Lack of Heart

No, this isn't an update about Angel. Even though it was a good show, regardless on if you just liked the puppet episode. It made Wesley a total badass and I hated him on Buffy. No no, this isn't that Wolfram corporation, this is some silly search engine created by Stephen Wolfram. Who is actually more insane than Wolfram & Hart.

It seems that there's all this hype about a new search engine. One that is said to be a Google killer. A slawyer of google, UR FUCK'N DEAD GOOGLE! sort of level. Why? Well who the fuck knows. Ok, I would be a terrible writer if I didn't explain in detail.

Wolfram Alpha is different than Google in the sense that you ask it a question and it attempts to answer you in a very detailed answer. The only problem is that it generally just gives you a lot of graphs. Hell, Wolfram doesn't know what love is.

So how does it work exactly? Well, let's let this little tour give you the sumation of it. Though, I guess it's not so much as a search engine. This isn't a search engine. It answers/solves queries of interrelated statistics using trusted data sets or something. I don't have a name for that. Maybe I should ask what it is. Then we'll know.

It's very useful if you have asperger's syndrome and an interest in either geography or statistics. Perhaps those into sports may find a use for it with all the statistics and such. But otherwise it's a pretty stupid tool for stupid tools. Let me know when China blocks it. That'll mean that it might have potentially useful information on it.

What exactly are the sources of the data and how reliable are they? Maybe I just missed that part of the video but it doesn't seem like I can quote this blindly on a term paper. At least it'll take some time before Professors look to this to see if you got your term paper from this.

Also, what's up with the name? I already mentioned the buffy reference because I'm a nerd. But the name will never catch on. I don't think you'll be seeing anyone on TV going, "How'd you findthat out?" "I Wolfram Alpha'd it".

"What was the significance of the Spanish-American War?"
"Learn to Wolfram Alpha!"

Nope. Won't catch on at all. Let it stay in the Whedoneverse, Stephen. Besides. How much of an ego and how batshit insane do you have to be to name a search engine after yourself.

So what are the other problems to all this. Well, you have the major issue that someone has to go through and set the categories up. This will probably render a lot of research assistants useless though. Yay for capitalism! Not like we need a higher unemployement statistic. Hey, maybe we can look it up on Wolfman Alpha!

So what other cool things can you find here? You can look up the details of a McDonalds Burger. I warn you, you have to phrase everything like you're playing Space Quest II. Oh my, maybe I just outted myself as a nerd. Oh wait, I already did that a long ass time ago.

This can do some neat things. I'll give it that, but it shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as google as they aren't comparable tools. So don't shut down all the schools just yet. The need for education isn't over. Atleast not till it responds to not only queries but also threats as well.

It's dumb hyping it as somehow related/competing with google or general purpose search engines in any way, other than that google happens to have some very basic calculation/data analysis features of its own.

Oh, I just answered a question I asked above about the sources. The sources are from verified sources. They say they have to manually put in the information, but it should also automatically get data from verified sources and not by hand. For example, census information is in a specific format, so it would idiotic to input the information by hand. It does not scan the Internet for information. So this is going to take forever for them to input that shit themselves. Google works based on the search on the net. So the answers may not be all correct, but at least they have answers. Sort of a slap to the face of all those who just turned in their term papers, final projects and finals.

I guess I could give them a little credit. Look up the following How Many Roads Must A Man Walk Down?

Hee, Clever girl... As for more proof that this is a nerd search engine.. Ask it the Meaning of Life A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan, I see.

But in the end, do you want to know the real reason this will fail? I typed in porn and it just gave me a textbook definition. Not a boob to be seen. Besides, didn't Ask Jeeves do this like 10 years ago? Only with a lot less graphs. The thing needs data, stat. It doesn't know a goddamn thing about Shakespearean literature.

I Just Moved In Next Door, I'm A Registered Cyberbully.

I Just Moved In Next Door, I'm A Registered Cyberbully.

When I was a kid I was constantly being bullied. It's all part of being a nerd. It was like growing up being named sue. Sure, my daddy wasn't Johnny Cash and my name isn't Sue. It's Javier. Equally as strange. You know how many times someone called me Nick instead simply because saying Javier(Ha-veeee-Air) was too difficult?

So dealing with it wasn't something I really gave too shits about. You learned how to deal or you get made fun of more. Well, more like you still get made fun of more either way. So I guess the lesson there is you just have to deal with it.

So when I hear that there's a bill being proposed to stop cyber bullying, I have to laugh a little. Because, what's the point of that shit? Just wait, you're going to see 80% of the internet have to say this to their new neighbors when they move in. I've stand by the statement that the Internet makes you stupid. It really does.

Well, at least that is what will happen if a bill gets passes.
A recently introduced cyberbullying bill could land us all in jail—that is, if you have ever used an electronic medium to troll someone. HR 1966, the Megan Meier Cyberbullying Prevention Act, is named after the high-profile "MySpace suicide" victim Megan Meier. It's meant to prevent people from using the Internet to "coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person." However, as with many bills of this nature, the murky language and vague standards leave much open to interpretation, which has caused critics to call it the Censorship Act instead.

HR 1966 was introduced in April by US Representative Linda Sanchez (D-CA) and it's supported by 14 other members of Congress. According to the text, individuals who bully others via any electronic means could face fines, two years in prison, or both. This, of course, could include those nasty text messages you sent to your ex on Saturday night, the questionable e-mail you sent to your brother, or those forum posts you made in which you called for someone who liked the new Star Trek movie to jump off a building.

UCLA Law Professor Eugene Volokh went into detail on his blog, suggesting that numerous everyday situations could render regular citizens felons if their behavior is considered "severe" enough. "I try to coerce a politician into voting a particular way, by repeatedly blogging (using a hostile tone) about what a hypocrite/campaign promise breaker/fool/etc. he would be if he voted the other way. I am transmitting in interstate commerce a communication with the intent to coerce using electronic means (a blog) 'to support severe, repeated, and hostile behavior'— unless, of course, my statements aren't seen as 'severe,' a term that is entirely undefined and unclear," Volokh wrote.

It's the internet, how can you stop this sort of action? With the protection of the computer screen in front of your face of course you're going to have people tell others how they really feel. Till they come up with technology that allows you to punch someone through a computer monitor you will have people trolling you to get a reaction out of you. As much as I hate to admit it, human beings are assholes every change they can get.

The actual language of the bill is this.

(a) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person, using electronic means to support severe, repeated, and hostile behavior, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.
Welp, so much for this blog. I mean, I make fun of just about any and everyone possible. No one is safe here or anywhere on the internet. Oooh poor baby, I hurt your feelings. Go cry to the police. I'm sure they'll lock me up for my freedom of speech.

What's worse is that they're using the interstate commerce clause to try and edge out the first amendment. Yeah... that'll work. Sure, why not.

I can't wait to hear people in jail talking about this sort of set up. "Me? I'm in for 16 months for posting pictures of some fat kid online." When he moved to east Hollywood he had to go door to door telling everyone he was an internet troll. I guess this just means that I'm going to have to be more subtle in my bashing of people here.Something like
"I'm not saying you're a worthless human being who should kill himself, I'm just making a statement about a category of people who believe certain things"
I can't wait to see how they even enforce this. HALT CITIZEN! I am the Cyber Police! You have offended GOKU_YIFFFOX99 on Multiple occasions, and he has cried himself to sleep approximately ten times. Your two year sentence begins at once. Surrender or die.

Wait till this reaches the court system. That's going to be a tough case to put on trail. Yeah, two counts possession of logical fallacies with intent. I think we should plea bargain down to a strawmanning to a ridiculous degree. If the DA ain't a prick, that is. We the jury, find the defendant, Warbong420, guilty of murdering 4 people 10 times each and calling their mothers whores.

They should at least include a Grandfather clause. If you've been on the internet before 1999 you may continue to call people fags. I think you've earned it if you've survived hamster dance and all those other stupid shit internet fads from yesteryear.

You know this isn't going to stop those nigerians. They'll still be spamming the shit out of you trying to scam money out of your bank account. So I'm not sure how you can actually enforce this. Then again, it wont survive long any way. So what does it matter.

Just as long as this means that I don't get in trouble for telling the car warranty telemarketer that called me this morning to "Suck my balls". Then I'm alright with it.
