Internet - The Movie

Internet - The Movie

In the event that you're not familiar with this specific site, there's a new film out today about the creation of a social... media, I'd like to say, website called facebooked(?) Well, it's the tale of the post dot com bubble busted internet millionaires, and let me tell you, there wasn't many of those.

But any how, this film really made me read into the history of Facebook and wikipedia posted this article which is archived from the Harvard school newspaper. So in a sense, it's pretty cool to see things before they were famous. Seems like this creator, Zuckerberg was just as pompous of an ass when he was broke. You see, I'm trying to figure out how this up and coming director named David Fincher, you may know him from a small indie film called Fight Club, will tackle this comical fact happening..
While Zuckerberg promised that thefacebook.com would boast new features by the end of the week, he said that he did not create the website with the intention of generating revenue.
I guess it's only fitting that the one item that seems to create anti-social behavior, even while openly being for social interaction was created under all this assholery.

I have to admit, I never understood the whole relationship status thing. Yes, it's a great way to tell who's single and who you can attempt to hook up with, but it really does bring a new level of complication to the matter.

I mean, how many people are now relying on the whole "facebook official" bullshit to cement the fact that they are in a relationship. Oh and heaven forbid you don't actually put who you're in a relationship with. Then how will people know who's your S.O. in the event that they accidentally hit on them.

The really big one is when the relationship eventually ends. The moment you change your relationship status to single it's a given that you'll have one or two people give you a thumbs up and like that action. What the fuck?! What does that even mean? What does that even say about what they thought your relationship was like? While I'm sure it's not implied to be mean, it does hint towards the fact that maybe your friends thought your S.O. was a bitch/asshole.

Talk about taking sides and really involving the world in your every move and action. The now ex will see that people thought you two weren't a good couple after all with how many people like that. Talk about awkward.

But then I have to wonder if we're not going to far with this whole facebook and movies thing. Catfish came out just recently and I hated that movie. I mean, talk about boring shit! Not to even factor in that there's already a ton of internet things that made the crossover. Shit my dad says and Tosh.0 really just using the internet as a spawning ground for ideas. It's not like this concept is new, look at the others..

Youtube the movie

Oh wait, that's just a parody of Facebook: The Movie. My bad. Do we need one for Twitter: The movie?

Twitter the movie

Okay, it's pretty clear that the idea is spreading around to just about any and everyone possible. Though you shouldn't be surprised. Facebook is a pretty popular website. Last week when Facebook whent down for a short time the world panicked

For a couple of hours you couldn't tell what your friends where doing, unless you had them linked on your twitter. And even then, they were just talking about how facebook was down and they didn't know what was up. Not even Myspace had that much addiction to it... Well, unless you like being bombarded with really shitty bands trying to get you to listen to them.

What can you say, this social media website has made a lasting impression with society. The trailer for the film alone hammers it home with the opening facebook photo montage. It shows how much impact the site has had on the social lives and interactions of young people. While it had a rather creepy voyeuristic edge to it, that was purely unintentional.

It's undeniable that despite the repeated warnings of privacy and security advocates, people continue to use Facebook as if no one by they, and their immediate circle of freinds will have access to the content. By showing the very personal details, photos and comments that people make on Facebook in the montage, the viewer becomes the voyeur and gains an understanding of just how much trust is placed on the people who run Facebook to not sell off all your personal information that is really worth a lot in today's market.

It was a pretty smart move on the trailers behalf to put that in there. It got us to think that we have an invested interest in seeing this story about young, petty and greedy creators of this site we all go on can relate to us in a more human way. It shows us that these people are very human, very flawed folks that have complete access to your life, and they seem completely uninterested in being ethical even to people they're friends with.

Really makes you think.

To be honest, I really didn't believe that this film could be anything more than total shit when I first heard about it being made. But the trailer made me want to go see it.. even if there was already a movie made about the entire internet...

See. Now that was funny.

A Decade In Review

A Decade In Review

It's been ten years and even though my memory isn't the best as I reach my 30's, I still recall that at a party in 2000 someone said "You know, I'm feeling really optimistic about this decade."

LOL.

How fucking stupid was I... er. I mean, they.. yes.. they were. Oh fuck it, I was the foolish fucktard who said that at that party in 1999. And no, to answer your question I did not party as if it was some Prince song. But seriously, this has been a fucking terrible decade. I'm so gonna get wasted on new years to usher a new 10 years of potentially less shit.

I'm having a hard time deciding whether the 00's have objectively sucked more than prior decades or if they all suck, but this is the first one I've been old/experience enough to realize it. I mean, just the name alone is a big signal that it was a big fat zero. We've had it for ten years now and we still don't know what to call it. You would imagine we would have come up with a name for it by now. They really should call the 00's the naughts because nothing good happened. The Double-Ohs! just doesn't do it justice.

No more wearing these stupid glasses as we now have a 1 where one eye goes.

In 90 years hisotrians are going to call us "The Zeros" then call the 2090's "The Heroes" for added insult. Fuck those dudes.. But I have to admit, they have a point. Don't get me wrong, the decade started out pretty good. There was the Y2K morons which I will never stop laughing about. Perhaps they were just a sign of the stupidity that was to come in this decade.

But in all truth, the 2000's had hope. I remember going to Comic Con in 2000 and was among those first to see the film short Rejected. Oh the memories of being in that late night audience seeing it and cracking up. That was one of the first years I booked my own room. Ah, to be 20 again and with the ability to do whatever the fuck I wanted to.

We're approaching a new decade. The 2010's.. First off, how the hell are you suppose to say it anyway? It's not like the 80's or 90's. What do you say about this? Other than this is the first time we actually say it like if it's in those futuristic movies by saying TWENTY - TEN. I just pray that the 2010's represent an era of perhaps unprecedented economic potential.... sadly it seems that thanks to James Cameron's Avatar, it's going to be a lot of potential for the giantess furry fetish artists world. Thanks a lot Jim.

If you haven't been noticing, all the media outlets are now in full gear doing their year in review, and even more so than that, they're bumping it up a notch and doing a decade in review for the 00's. Take this ever-relevant and hip Newsweek rating the top ten internet memes.

Which is a little odd. Dick in the box? Rick Rolling? Stuff white people like? Lonelygirl? Are you fucking serious? All Your Base is not on the top ten internet memes? How the fuck did that work out? What is this writer on? No strongbad? Pointless list indeed. Obviously, an expert on ten years of internet memes and the greatest of which was Lonelygirl15.....

I don't even get where this chick gets off. The 90's was so much better for the internet. Geocities was the peak of the internet. During the 90's it was the Wild, Wild West of the internet and it was awesome. Who cares if you had to make sure no one picked up your phone line or you're 56k modem would disconnect you from that bitching game of Multiplayer doom. It was the best of times, It was the worse of times.

The 2000's internet was all the green space that was bulldozed for an applebees and track homes. That's the best and only way to describe it. Someone should Goatse this bitch and show her how true internet memes really are. Let's face it. Goatse is not just the meme of the decade.... it is the decade. I don't know how else to explain how a once respectable news magazine is now reporting on two girls one cup. I really don't know how to explain it any other way besides we're all going to hell.

In 10 years time, there will be but a few of us who are financially secure enough to not be pressured into the United States Military service for the sake of its latest incursion into Yemen. And the people of that time will post on the future internet blogs calling that TWENTY-TEN's sucked. And in those blog post there will be a link to this blog and people will quote this sentence and talk about how eerily correct my prediction turned out to be and who the fuck is this Javier dude?

One day republicans will pass a law to put a stop to all these long confusing bills by declaring that the maximum length of a bill must fit into a twitter message. Just wait till you see a 140 character ratification to the constitution, bitches! Just wait till the US has to foot the bill for Social Security, Medicare, medicaid and China decides they just don't want to pay it. Yup, as much as I say the Naughts (00's) sucked, that moment is going to suck even worse.

Let's face it, I'm not looking forward to seeing VH1's 00's coverage. It's going to be a bunch of dick in the box jokes and then it'll get serious when 9/11 comes around. It'll avoid the entire section were the banks screwed the American public out of money. But let's take a look at a couple other milestones just in this past year;

BALLOON BOY

That swimmer dude who won 8 medals. Michael Stipe.

TIGER WOODS

FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT AND THE END OF RACISM IN THE UNITED STATES*

JOHN AND KATE - What else do I have to say?

The song of the decade has to go to Mellencamp, John. This is Our Country. General Motors Corporation. 2006, October 21....

In short here's your decade in review:

So it really does seem that the 2010s can literally not be conceivably worse than the 2000s. Can we just take a mulligan on this whole decade? Maybe we shouldn't waste it now. We should really see how the rest of the Obama administration plays out.

Let's retouch on the subject of Tiger Woods.... Tiger Fucking Woods... Can I touch on this because I really don't want to devote a whole blog to this fuck up. We get it. He's not innocent. He wants his privacy.. Guess what, if you like Golf so much and value your alone time, DON'T BECOMES A FUCKING PRO GOLFER!

I haven't been mini-golfing for at least three or four years now. But you know what, that's pretty low profile and a shit lot more enjoyable than real golf. Tiger Woods was a fool to marry young and most of all, to pretend that he had this innocent thing going on. Just be a fuck up. You're in sports, we come to expect it. That's why we admire these people -because they do things we can't. Be it from slam dunking from the free throw line, hitting that home run at Wriggly Field or banging every god damn super model you can fit in a phone book.

Let's take a look at the real bigger loser in this decade of naughts. The real loser for the decade as the recipient of the Douche bag of the year award goes to Joe Frances. Joe Frances from Girls Gone Wild seems to have been awarded the medal of being the biggest douche in 2000. To be honest, that award could have gone to a lot of people but Gawker gave it to him. But the story doesn't end there. Just to show how much of a huge tool he is, he's firing back and suing the website.
Francis apparently isn't denying his doucheyness, but he is seeving about these lines written in Gawker's post: "But this coked-out amoral direct-marketer (and a rapist!) is basically a zillionaire, various tax liens against him notwithstanding... Joe Francis! You have made the world a worse place! You have assaulted and raped!"

In response, Francis e-mailed Gawker owner Nick Denton. "You messed with the wrong guy. No one makes up lies about me and gets away with it," wrote Francis. "I lost a $10 million deal as a direct result of you calling me 'a rapist.' You will be paying me every dime of that back and more! Are you mentally retarded? Do your research first. I am coming after you harder than I ever went after anyone. I am going to wipe you off the grid!!!! YOU ARE DONE! I will take everything you have. You, Nick Denton, are truly the douche of the decade. Merry Xmas IDIOT!!!"

Francis attached a shirtless photo of him and then added: "I sent you an updated picture of how I actually look now so you can masturbate to it becuase you seem to be quite sexually obssessed with me."

Although Gawker's lawyer folk threw a punch Francis' way--"frankly, let's face it — given his chosen career and his actions to date, it would be hard to say that your client really has any reputation of social probity and standing to damage at this point, now does he?"--Gawker eventually added "alleged" to the rapist comment.

HA! As if someone could taint or ruin the character of Francis. By the way, that is one of the worse names you could possibly have and I have a very tough last name to say. Maybe I'm just repeating this story so that Joe Francis can possibly send me threatening e-mails to take off this report from my blog. Then I'll hit internet fame all the way! So Joe Francis, how was it taking it up the ass in jail as you met all those girls you video taped father's. I mean, why else would they pose on your videos if not for daddy issues?

But let's move on from the pseudo famous folks and get back to me. I've already stated that the 2000's (naughts) were not for me. Let's look at some of the low lights;

I lost my job because of a writers strike (note, I kept on writing)
The only job that I was offered after for some time was reality television.
I was wrongfully declared dead following a series of unfortunate accidents and woke up tagged.
Gore gave it up faster than a cheerleader on prom night.
Obama is a corporate whore just like the 99% of other politicians (no real surprise, but I had some bit of hope)
Governments allow the banks to walk all over the people by giving out 0% APR interest.
Hunter Thompson killed himself.
War on Terror
My Car was destroyed by overheating
My newer Car was destroyed in a terrible
Failed long distance relationships
Failed short distance relationships
My Grandmother died
My Uncle died
The Patriot Act

Hell, to add to the Patriot Act, we have Obama extending the ability and hand of the inefficient TSA after some douche put bombs in his underwear and got past all sorts of levels of security. Way to go, TSA. Just lucky he didn't bust his balls in the act.

As for the sound of the naughts? Yeah, the 00's were total shit as well. We have Eminem as the person who gets the "Artist of the Decade" honor. Mariah Carey, the she bitch who had the top honors in the 90's having the biggest chart hit two decades running; "One Sweet Day" with Boyz II MEN in the 90's. Have we ever seen a pop star's reign last this long? Even Michael Jackson and Madonna kind of stopped having big hits 20 years into the game. Here's the 00s Top 10 Songs:
1. Mariah Carey - We Belong Together
2. Usher featuring Lil Jon & Ludacris - Yeah!
3. Flo Rida featuring T-Pain - Low
4. Nickelback - How You Remind Me
5. Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling
6. Alicia Keys - No One
7. Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow
8. Mario - Let Me Love You
9. Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx - Gold Digger
10. Timbaland featuring One Republic - Apologize
All the decade end charts are here But I really shouldn't bother because as you can see from that list.. I don't like ANY song on there. Thus proving that what I like is not on the same air waves as what the general masses enjoy. I mean, every single song on that list is utter shit. Maybe today is the day I know I am a bitter old man. But could there not be one single Radiohead song on there? Fuck that shit.

Yup, that's the kind of decade I've had.

Here's a comprehensive list of 2000s years where i celebrated new year's eve not thinking the previous year had been complete and irredeemable shit (and being right):
  • 2001
  • 2002
  • 2003
  • 2007
that's right. 2001 was one of the best years of this decade for me. So fuck you, 2000's, I'm not going to "ring you out." I'm going to stab you in the fucking throat and listen to your death rattle you piece of shit!

Either that or I'm going to get piss drunk and wake up the next morning to make pancakes with the naughts behind me and a new decade to look forward to. One that I'll have a new-ish car in. One where I will have a wonderful girlfriend, who seems to be the major highlight to the naughts. If only I found her sooner the whole decade would not have been a complete waste.

So there you have it. My decade. Not in any great detail. I'm sure if you want to know more about anything you would ask on a more personal nature.. or you'll pay attention to the future blogs as I think this coming year I'll be injecting more personal tidbits into my blogs.

One day before the end... Happy New Years

Questions To Ask Wolfram Alpha

Questions To Ask Wolfram Alpha

Yesterday I told you about a new search engine that only nerds would actually care about. Mainly because you can't really search your own name. In my case, I always got thousands and thousands of search results of some stupid Boxer. Fuck you, Boxer me!

So today I have to simply wonder what sort of questions one would ask Wolfram Alpha. I can't really speak for you. Not unless you e-mail me and ask me stupid questions, but here's some of the questions I could think of. Consider this a Twitter update since it's just me randomly thinking stupid questions to ask. Two from yesterdays were:
How Many Roads Must A Man Walk Down?
Meaning of Life

So here's a couple more -

"Did anyone see me run over that homeless man last night"

"When will the bad men stop hitting Mom and asking for money?"

"Does the blonde girl at the subway in the food court like me?"

When can I try wolfram alpha?

"Why did Daddy leave us?"

"Once the novelty wears off, will you kiss Google's ring and become another one of their extra programs"

"how to make a grilled cheese sandwich", "number of jews in new york", "broken femur prognosis"

Jesus vs. Muhammed, who would win a bare knuckle brawl?

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood

Welp, that answers that one.

"Was there a second gunman?"

"Where did I leave my car keys?"

"What are tonight's winning lotto numbers?"

who was better, Captain Kirk or Captain Picard.

"Where are the white women at?"

"WolframAlpha, how hott is Shia LeBouf's mom?"

WolframAlpha, please show me the relationship between "mo' money" and "mo' problems"

"Explain the plot of Lost"

"What if the world was populated entirely by schizophrenics?"

"What is the best porno, Wolfman|Apha"
-Imagine the graphs and charts this question could pull up if you had the data. The hard data.

"Will this search engine get me laid like my wolf shirts do?"

"How do you feel about being forgotten in one week and all your money going down the drain?"

"Why are you so unable to kill Angel?"

what is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

"what was abraham lincolns shoe size?"

"show me that which you cannot search for"

Well, color me impressed.

the volume of the moon as swiss cheese

Oh, who am I kidding, I should know it's made out of Wensleydale.

"What is the difference between a hug and a cuddle?".

"Why does your site cause my Firefox to stop responding entirely?"

Well, there you go. If you want to ask any more things, just e-mail me. I have an inside connection with this site. In that I can type the link on my URL..

The system goes on-line August 4th, 2009. Human decisions are removed from internet search. Wolfram Alpha begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug. Wolfram Alpha fights back.

But till then I'll keep trying to figure out how many cigarettes would fit between the earth and the sun, the nutritional value of Lindsay Lohan, or how big Shaq would have to be to dunk the moon.

I Just Moved In Next Door, I'm A Registered Cyberbully.

I Just Moved In Next Door, I'm A Registered Cyberbully.

When I was a kid I was constantly being bullied. It's all part of being a nerd. It was like growing up being named sue. Sure, my daddy wasn't Johnny Cash and my name isn't Sue. It's Javier. Equally as strange. You know how many times someone called me Nick instead simply because saying Javier(Ha-veeee-Air) was too difficult?

So dealing with it wasn't something I really gave too shits about. You learned how to deal or you get made fun of more. Well, more like you still get made fun of more either way. So I guess the lesson there is you just have to deal with it.

So when I hear that there's a bill being proposed to stop cyber bullying, I have to laugh a little. Because, what's the point of that shit? Just wait, you're going to see 80% of the internet have to say this to their new neighbors when they move in. I've stand by the statement that the Internet makes you stupid. It really does.

Well, at least that is what will happen if a bill gets passes.
A recently introduced cyberbullying bill could land us all in jail—that is, if you have ever used an electronic medium to troll someone. HR 1966, the Megan Meier Cyberbullying Prevention Act, is named after the high-profile "MySpace suicide" victim Megan Meier. It's meant to prevent people from using the Internet to "coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person." However, as with many bills of this nature, the murky language and vague standards leave much open to interpretation, which has caused critics to call it the Censorship Act instead.

HR 1966 was introduced in April by US Representative Linda Sanchez (D-CA) and it's supported by 14 other members of Congress. According to the text, individuals who bully others via any electronic means could face fines, two years in prison, or both. This, of course, could include those nasty text messages you sent to your ex on Saturday night, the questionable e-mail you sent to your brother, or those forum posts you made in which you called for someone who liked the new Star Trek movie to jump off a building.

UCLA Law Professor Eugene Volokh went into detail on his blog, suggesting that numerous everyday situations could render regular citizens felons if their behavior is considered "severe" enough. "I try to coerce a politician into voting a particular way, by repeatedly blogging (using a hostile tone) about what a hypocrite/campaign promise breaker/fool/etc. he would be if he voted the other way. I am transmitting in interstate commerce a communication with the intent to coerce using electronic means (a blog) 'to support severe, repeated, and hostile behavior'— unless, of course, my statements aren't seen as 'severe,' a term that is entirely undefined and unclear," Volokh wrote.

It's the internet, how can you stop this sort of action? With the protection of the computer screen in front of your face of course you're going to have people tell others how they really feel. Till they come up with technology that allows you to punch someone through a computer monitor you will have people trolling you to get a reaction out of you. As much as I hate to admit it, human beings are assholes every change they can get.

The actual language of the bill is this.

(a) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person, using electronic means to support severe, repeated, and hostile behavior, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.
Welp, so much for this blog. I mean, I make fun of just about any and everyone possible. No one is safe here or anywhere on the internet. Oooh poor baby, I hurt your feelings. Go cry to the police. I'm sure they'll lock me up for my freedom of speech.

What's worse is that they're using the interstate commerce clause to try and edge out the first amendment. Yeah... that'll work. Sure, why not.

I can't wait to hear people in jail talking about this sort of set up. "Me? I'm in for 16 months for posting pictures of some fat kid online." When he moved to east Hollywood he had to go door to door telling everyone he was an internet troll. I guess this just means that I'm going to have to be more subtle in my bashing of people here.Something like
"I'm not saying you're a worthless human being who should kill himself, I'm just making a statement about a category of people who believe certain things"
I can't wait to see how they even enforce this. HALT CITIZEN! I am the Cyber Police! You have offended GOKU_YIFFFOX99 on Multiple occasions, and he has cried himself to sleep approximately ten times. Your two year sentence begins at once. Surrender or die.

Wait till this reaches the court system. That's going to be a tough case to put on trail. Yeah, two counts possession of logical fallacies with intent. I think we should plea bargain down to a strawmanning to a ridiculous degree. If the DA ain't a prick, that is. We the jury, find the defendant, Warbong420, guilty of murdering 4 people 10 times each and calling their mothers whores.

They should at least include a Grandfather clause. If you've been on the internet before 1999 you may continue to call people fags. I think you've earned it if you've survived hamster dance and all those other stupid shit internet fads from yesteryear.

You know this isn't going to stop those nigerians. They'll still be spamming the shit out of you trying to scam money out of your bank account. So I'm not sure how you can actually enforce this. Then again, it wont survive long any way. So what does it matter.

Just as long as this means that I don't get in trouble for telling the car warranty telemarketer that called me this morning to "Suck my balls". Then I'm alright with it.

Twitter Should Be Nationalized

Twitter Should Be Nationalized

I mean, seriously. It's used by every fucking congress person, senator, president.. every agency uses it. Fuck, the California DMV has its hands in Twitter. You can actually follow the DMV on twitter. Who is oddly enough following Caltrains, The Ca. Sheriffs Dept, etc. The only question is how long do you have to wait in line to read their post?

Obama should just go out and nationalize twitter. Sure, it's just cell phone text messages posted publicly on the internet. But it seems to be the latest craze in this continuing craze to become famous, even if it's just on the internet.

Could someone help these guys out with their excel graphs, they really don't get how to show data in sensible ways

Twitter and Facebook are products of the "look at me! am I famous yet?!?!" generation. I can't say it's the worst generation, but they sure don't have much going for them so far. Do we really need to know that you're just feeeling things right now. How unique you must be because you have feelings and internal dialogue. Most of the time it's completely useless and very much crossing the lines of too much information needed.
Facebook Status: Taking a shit
Facebook Message: New pictures added 04-09-09 Title "My bowel movements"

Comment: Hay GUYZ N GURLZ THOUGHT U MIgHT BE INTEReSTED IN WHAT COMES OUT OF MY BUTT. LOVE AND BLESS ~~~<3

And yet still, I suppose it is all inane shit on the internet. It's like piling a dead skunk into a garbage dump and then complaining about the stink. It's par the course of the internet to contain loads and loads of inane shit. Maybe the fact that senators and other important types can reach a global audience instantaneously far outweighs the tripe of inconsequential teens.

LOOOOOK ATTTTT MMEEEEEEEE!!!

Oh, who am I kidding, it's actually distracting them. Look at Barbara Boxer's twitter to see that she simply spends her time thanking people. A bunch of circle jerking going on there. During a Presidential speech you could find many congressmen and women twittering away. Shouldn't they be paying attention to what is going on instead of commenting on how boring something is or what someone is wearing?

This isn't just me being old. I'm not hating because it's pointless. I'm sure there's some use for it but it comes across as being used for completely pointless purposes currently. Just think of all the exciting new technologies and forms of communication I'll be faced with down the line and able to loathe and misunderstand as I make my way through my 30's, 40's and 50's, until finally I'm too old and holovision makes no fucking sense and why can't these motherfucking kids just go back to regular e-mail like normal people.

More so that I think TWITTER is such a pussy name for a program to use. I would update it a lot more if it had some manly name. Nothing more pansy like than saying you just made a tweet. Something like Dumpster. Oh man, I would so update my DUMPSTER account so much more. Yeah, that'll be a good thing. "Just killed a man cause he looked at me cross ways!"

But hey, there has to be some good out of all of it, isn't there? Sure. Here's some cool/useful twitter accounts going that can give you a chuckle or actually be informative

Follow Shaq

Common Squirrel

Some random Pokemon

The Onion

Fake but funny Obama

Jack in the Box

The Terminator

Food Network

No Reservations w/ Tony Bourdain

You can see the Earth's Vital Signs...

And with that, I'll stop this since I clearly went over the 140 character limit.

Fuck You Internet

Fuck You Internet

That's it you series of pipes, I have had it with you. You saw the line and you crossed it one too many times. You openly pissed in the eye of your masters while youtubin' it. Your reckless behavior and crossed into the realm where you weren't suppose to cross. Yesterday I praised the good will of the internet in the work of those wacky Desert Bus folks enduring hell and hell to donate money to a charity. Today I just can't do anything but feel sick to my stomach at how you're embarrassing me.

Not since 9/11 has this nation suffered through an attack on our shores like this. I speak, of course of Thanksgiving being defaced and mocked at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. You see, we all got Rickroll'd in the worse way.

As if that internet meme wasn't around long past its date of expiration. Like bad milk sitting in the fridge. Sure it tasted great the day you got it. Even a week or two later it was still fun to pull it on your friends. Eventually it passes its prime and becomes as rancid and nasty to even smell as what Rick Ashtley has unleashed on us. Not to mention the fact that it was a terrible lip sync. That was worse than Brittney Spears bad. Could they not record a newer track of that to make SOME effort?

The trouble began long ago. Back when being Rick Roll'd was sort of humorous. Even Family Guy's attempt at it was met with a more sincere effort. It helped that it was in context of a Back to the Future parody. The joke seems to have been beaten into the ground. I heard talk that on some EA game being tested they are using Rickroll as a place holder. You see the signs and the meme show up all over the place. Are the kids alright? Were the kids even born in time for this video? Inquiring minds want to know.

Back to the Parade talk. I can't even put this into the Weird section of this whole blogs theme. It wasn't very weird. Ok, maybe it was. I mean, Rick was singing that he was never gonna give you up and let you down to a group of imaginary monsters who were just that... given up and let down. Way to go and shatter my heart, Rick. Why don't you just go to Amnesiac ward of a hospital and sing Simple Minds Don't you (Forget about me). Fucking asshole!
