California - Putting It Bluntly

California - Putting It Bluntly

In about a month you're going to be facing a choice at the polls....

Yes. That's right. Prop 19. It's time to vote for the legalization of weed. But it doesn't just make smoking it legal, it also permits cultivation for personal use in plain English. That alone should be reason enough for you to vote for it. Even more so because there's actually a fighting chance this will actually pass.

Gee, I can't wait for California voters to make another good referendum vote. I sure am looking forward to this outcome. Though, as soon as this passes, Obama will probably bring a lawsuit against California to balance out the whole Arizona lawsuit.

This is really the one issue that will actually get the youth to the polls, at the very least. Which is a good thing considering more younger people relate and vote with democrats on average and it's looking like the republicans are mounting to change the balance. With Obama's staff changing the way it is, I really do wonder how his next two years will actually be like.

I have to say that it's about time and I'm perfectly okay with this choice. Think of the tax income that can be achieved by legalization? Who isn't looking forward to the world's first one trillion percent taxation on a product. But then there's part of me that I'd honestly rather they just get rid of the three strikes law first. Need a reason why?
# On November 4, 1995, Leandro Andrade stole five videotapes from a K-Mart store in Ontario, California. Two weeks later, he stole four videotapes from a different K-Mart store in Montclair, California. Andrade had been in and out of state and federal prisons since 1982, and at the time of these two crimes in 1995, had been convicted of petty theft, residential burglary, transportation of marijuana, and escaping from prison. As a result of these prior convictions, the prosecution charged Andrade with two counts of petty theft with a prior conviction, which under California law can either be a felony or a misdemeanor. Under California's three strikes law, any felony can serve as the third "strike" and thereby expose the defendant to a mandatory sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
I'm sure you're thinking "Oh no, a criminal for life was taken off the streets. Truly a tragedy worth whining about." Just think of it this way, if he hadn't gone to life in prison, he could be on the streets right now stealing 'The Hangover' DVDs and abusing the free refills at burger king.

This whole case is reason enough to display that 3 strikes is the dumbest most arbitrary thing in the entire world and serves only to hurt people who make good targets for police. You know, like minorities.

I'll probably never get the American obsession with weed and in trying to control it or ban it. I mean, really? Being high, for many people, is far better than being drunk. But speaking of drinking, do you know what's really comical? Miller and Bud aren't having none of this bullshit and the California beer distributors are backing the oppositions by throwing them money.
Last week a trade association for California beer distributors donated $10,000 to oppose Prop 19, the November ballot initiative that would legalize and tax marijuana. The move certainly has a lot of people talking.

“Unless the beer distributors in California have suddenly developed a philosophical opposition to the use of intoxicating substances, the motivation behind this contribution is clear,” said Steve Fox of the Marijuana Policy Project. "Plain and simple, the alcohol industry is trying to kill the competition."

Another marijuana advocate at Stop the Drug War questioned why the official opposition is aligning itself with alcohol. "We understand why Big Alcohol wants to protect its turf and keep Californians drinking; but why does the No on Prop. 19 campaign -- which is calling itself "Public Safety First" -- share this goal?"

But the California Beer & Beverage Distributors says it's not about any of that. "It's not a competitve issue for us," explained the spokesperson Rhonda Stevenson, who noted that they have no opinion on the issue either way, to LAist over the phone. "That's up to Californians to decide."

At issue for the organization is safety of their workforce and the langauge of the proposition, which Stevenson called "poorly written." She said that the state's regulation of alcohol has been working successfully for 75 years and if Prop 19 passes, there would be no regulatory structure for the drug, instead creating a patchwork of laws throughout cities and counties. "There's not a way not to implement this in a succint matter," she said.

The organization is also worried about industry safety -- fork lift and truck drivers working high, for example -- because you would no longer be able to test for the drug.

Clearly this Bud's not for you. I guess they really just don't want any competition in the vices of society. It's strange because my seething hatred for humanity comes bubbling out when I drink. Hell, half of these blogs where I rant on are while I'm drunk.. Okay - MOST. Most of my blogs are a product of a drunken stupor. Considering I blog every day, that's a scary statistic.

But on the flip side, when I smoke I can barely grasp the hate. I know a lot of people that are the flip side in that alcohol is a much nicer feeling for them. It makes them feel really happy and relaxed. I know people who are the exact opposite though, so I guess your mileage will vary depending on your genetics or something.

Then I love that bullshit line about how it risk the safety of the workers. Who goes to work on drugs that actually has a job that is risky? And it's not like you can't fire someone just because it's a legal substance if it impairs with their working ability. What the fuck?

I'm sure some of you are wondering if the federal government is going to let this happen. I'm was pretty sure that Holder said he wasn't going to prosecute this shit when he came into office, but who really knows?
California's proposal to legalize marijuana has provoked every former director of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to join in urging the White House to block the proposition if it is approved on the November ballot.

Proposition 19 is billed as a measure to raise revenue and cut the costs of enforcement. An analysis by the California attorney general's office cites "additional revenues from taxes, assessments, and fees from marijuana-related activities allowed under this measure."

But former DEA Administrator Peter Bensinger disputed the premise, telling reporters Monday it will not increase revenue since "anybody that sells marijuana and then pays tax is going to declare themselves a violator of federal law" and subject to prosecution.

Bensinger and the eight other people who have led the DEA since its founding in 1973 wrote a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, urging him to use the federal "supremacy clause" to pre-empt such lawmaking by state and local jurisdictions.

The Justice Department recently used such a pre-emption to persuade a court to strike down Arizona's immigration law. Bensinger acknowledged that his group had not heard a response from Justice Department officials to the letter dated August 24.

"All of us are very gravely concerned with Proposition 19," he said, "which if passed would legalize the distribution, sale and cultivation of marijuana in direct conflict with the Controlled Substances Act, federal law, and treaty obligations approved by the U.S. Congress."
I'm a bit surprised that the feds aren't blocking this by tying marijuana laws to something like transportation funding, the way they enforce the national drinking age. But I guess that California is fucking huge, so it's not as easy to push around as states that don't have 1/8th of the US population.

Then again, maybe it's cause of the Choom gang, yo.

You see, Obama loosened up on DEA marijuana enforcement. Or at least the claim was that he did...
Earlier this month, nine former administrators of the Drug Enforcement Administration sent a letter calling on Obama and Holder to sue if Prop. 19 passes, blocking the statewide legalization of possession and personal growth and the allowance of individual counties to license commercial sale and production of marijuana.
But it does seem like the drug czar is standing firm on that Just Say No stance..
At this point, it seems the Obama administration will sue California, but that's just an educated guess: the Justice Department has declined to comment. Obama's drug czar, former Seattle Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske, has weighed in firmly against legalization on a national scale, and he submitted an op-ed to the L.A. Times co-authored with several former drug czars (some of whom have taken a very hard line against medical marijuana) warning that Prop. 19 would increase social costs by leading to more marijuana use.
So it's basically boiling down to the fact that all the college students will hate Obama if the feds do take action against this, and if he doesn't then he'll be viewed as The President That Let Weed Be Legal. Which I guess is a tough place to stand. Elected officials need to just bite the bullet and go with the truths that they already know..

I mean, we already have a Governor who just doesn't give a fuck anymore. Over the weekend Arnold made carrying less than an ounce of weed on your persons an infraction instead of a misdemeanor.
To the Members of the California State Senate:

I am signing Senate Bill 1449.

This bill changes the crime of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana from a misdemeanor punishable only by a $100 fine to an infraction punishable by a $100 fine. Under existing law, jail time cannot be imposed, probation cannot be ordered, nor can the base fine exceed $100 for someone convicted of this crime.

I am opposed to decriminalizing the possession and recreational use of marijuana and oppose Proposition 19, which is on the November ballot.

Unfortunately, Proposition 19 is a deeply flawed measure that, if passed, will adversely impact California’s businesses without bringing in the tax revenues to the state promised by its proponents.

Notwithstanding my opposition to Proposition 19, however, I am signing this measure because possession of less than an ounce of marijuana is an infraction in everything but name. The only difference is that because it is a misdemeanor, a criminal defendant is entitled to a jury trial and a defense attorney.

In this time of drastic budget cuts, prosecutors, defense attorneys, law enforcement, and the courts cannot afford to expend limited resources prosecuting a crime that carries the same punishment as a traffic ticket.

As noted by the Judicial Council in its support of this measure, the appointment of counsel and the availability of a jury trial should be reserved for defendants who are facing loss of life, liberty, or property greater than $100.

For these reasons, I am signing this bill.

Sincerely, Arnold Schwarzenegger

And you people wondered why I voted for Arnold? Well.. because I didn't want to vote for the dead midget, porn star.. Though I think the weed attorney dude would have done this but it would have been more expected. Ahead of your time, my friend. Ahead of your time.

I would applaud your actions, but fuck it man, Archer is on.

420

420

It's April 20th so that means one of a few things for you. You can indulge your childish side and talk about weed all day. Except I'm sure you already do that every day.

You could possibly hail Hitler and celebrate the day of his birth.. that is if you even acknowledge birthdays. Then again, maybe Hitlder did what he did because they wouldn't let him smoke his fatty boom batty joint of top notch afghani kush on his birthday. I'm sure Jessie James is making a theme day out of 4/20 which will result in a sex tape to be released later.

The origins of 420 as a code for pot leads back to the 70's at San Rafael High School among a group of about a dozen pot smoking kids who called themselves the Waldos. Fun fact - those people are in their 50's now. Way to be hip and used memaw's words to describe your smoking habit. The code was told so that everyone knew to go meet at the campus statue of Louis Pasteur and they smoked pot there.

But hey, somewhere in the world it's 4/20, right?

I'm of the opinion that marijuana is probably okay as long as you consume it as part of a righteous lifestyle. Perhaps I shouldn't begrudge the stoners. Today is clearly their only chance to find true community spirit. It's a sort of community validation thing. Once a year you let stoners be stoners. Also, it's like, let's see what crazy shit the unemployed cooked up this year. The funny thing is that the number 1 reason that weed is not legal is probably stoners themselves.

Some of you are wondering if you should go out and make that investment for that Vaporgenie. Betcha want to hit dat sweet vape, yo. Well you know what - FUCK YOUR Bourgeoisie expensive drug use attachments. I'd rather smoke weed out of a capitalists skull.

Just think about it. Your average hippie is raging against the conservatives with their plasma screens and suvs as they consume and consume. Yet you're going to buy a $300 vaporizer? Some would say that it's healthier for your lungs. Um, if you smoke enough weed to require a vaporizer to offset the damage you do to your lungs you should probably consider cutting back.

Then there's the whole legalization of it. Honestly, it's so easy to smoke and not get caught, so who gives a shit about legalization of it? Yeah, we're funding some drug gangs and possibly Mexican mafias when you purchase weed, but so what? We fund a war machine with taxes every day and yet nobody seems to give a shit about that. Besides, it's much cheaper and more environmentally sound to grow or buy your weed locally.

Smoke and listen.. oooh yeah

Then again, maybe I shouldn't argue about weed on 4/20. That's like arguing about religion on Christmas eve. Though my annual atheist argument on Christmas eve with my family is the one highlight I look forward to all year long.

I don't hate weed, I just really hate stupid stoners. It's like Chris Rock said
"I don't hate black people, but I hate niggers"
I guess the problem is that people only really notice obnoxious stoners. No one really gives a second thought to the cool guy blazing after work or the professor who smokes on the weekends. Obama smoked weed and all you spineless liberals voted for him.

Iceland started early

Straight edge is pretty lame. Okay, you don't do drugs for whatever reason. That's fine, I guess. Not doing drugs doesn't make you cool or edgy or anything though. Straight edge is good for high school kids, but if you're over the age of 18 and you base your lifestyle off music fads, you're pretty dumb.

4/20 isn't the worse. If 4/20 had been celebrated maybe those Columbine kids would have mellowed the fuck out and not shot up their school. But still, A holiday to celebrate smoking weed is pretty much meaningless to the average pot head who has been smoking on a daily basis for their entire life. It's something retarded losers who don't have meaningful lives do to try to fit in with hippie stoners. No one who's self-actualized wants to talk to those going crazy for 4/20.

Pot On The Books

Pot On The Books

Well, it looks like we're getting a chance to legalize pot come November. Fuck gay rights, as long as I can toke up in front of a cop, it's all good, right? Yup, who knows, maybe we'll actually legalize it this time;
California voters will decide this November whether to legalize and regulate adult recreational use of marijuana as the Secretary of State today certified that a Bay Area-based effort to put the issue on the ballot has collected enough signatures to do so.

If passed, California would have the most comprehensive laws on legal marijuana in the entire world, marijuana reform advocates say. Opponents are confident they will easily defeat the measure.

The vote will be the second time in nearly 40 years that people in the Golden State will decide the issue of legalization, though the legal framework and cultural attitudes surrounding marijuana have changed significantly the past four decades. If Californians pass the measure, it would be the first in the nation to do so as similar efforts in other states all have failed.

Backers needed to collect at least 433,971 valid signatures of registered voters and the Secretary of State said they met that threshold.

If voters approve the ballot measure, it will become legal for Californians 21 and older to grow and possess up to an ounce of marijuana under state law. Local jurisdictions could tax and regulate it, or decide not to participate. Marijuana would continue to be banned outright by federal law.

Current state law allows a person, with a doctor's approval, to possess an amount of marijuana that is reasonably related to the patient's current medical needs. People also can obtain cards identifying themselves as a patient, which helps in interactions with law enforcement.

"There is no state that currently allows adults to grow marijuana for personal (recreational) use, but what is totally different and will be a game-changer internationally is this would allow authorized sales to adults as determined by a local authority," said Stephen Gutwillig, California State Director of the Drug Policy Alliance Network, an organization advocating for changes in drug laws.

The major backers of the initiative - the founder of an Oakland-based marijuana trade school, a retired Orange County judge and various drug law reform organizations - are planning to oversee a $10 million campaign to push the measure.

My first reaction is why do you people care so much about weed? Geez, try being a little incremental and decriminalize it first, don't you think? No way can you go "All in" and expect to get it passed. Yes, I think it would be fucking funny to see what the Federal Government's response to all this would be, but seriously now.. Do you need it legalized? If you couldn't get gay marriage passed, you wont get weed legalized. And if you do, then we sure as hell don't know what our priorities are.

The article may be a little old but it's news since the Secretary of State officially certified the signatures today. So hey, gonna legalize it. We're gonna get our law enforcement funding pulled by the Obama administration and we're gonna slide further into bankruptcy. Can I get a "Hell Yeah" up in this bitch? Who cares about education funding when we can all just kick it with some weeeed, yo. No need for proper school budgets unless they have botany or herbal studies.

It's just not possible at all in this or any other reality. Especially with the mindset of thinking about the children. Even if we're in a sort of California über alles sort of state. Though, anything but a crushing defeat will only propel the legalization movement further, at least to the minds of those who are trying to push this stuff into law.

I realize that weed prohibition has enslaved more American blacks than slavery. And I have heard that if you don't support weed legalization then you implicitly support millions of nonviolent users being sent to prison for it. But you do realize that they just signed a bill in the senate to ban smoking literally everywhere outside, no parks/benches/picnic tables, etc. And you're shooting for a legalization of weed?

I NEED TO LIGHT MARIJUANA LEAVES ON FIRE AND THEN INHALE THE SMOKE MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. I. CARE. SO. MUCH. ABOUT. INHALING THAT SMOKE

It's clear that Obama's administration is dead set against legalization, so this will do nothing. And it won't even reduce crime so long as its still illegal in Mexico. Though really, why are you importing your weed when we have perfectly good room to grow our own locally. Don't you realize you're being bad to the environment by wasting so much gas to transport that Mexican shit over? Come on, man. Think green for a change!

You may think that California is pretty liberal, but California seems to be one of the least progressive states in the nation. California is a metaphorical boulevard of broken dreams. Think of it this way, California gave us Ronald Reagan. All you stoners, do yourself a huge favor and NOT get ripped on voting day. I'd hate to see this share the same fate as a Simpsons episode and you ending up forgetting to vote.

Let's face it. Even Jerry Brown is opposing this. Given, he was a terrible governor decades ago and he's going to be a terrible governor now, too. And when it comes to those undecideds on this issue, they are most likely going to be women in their 30's and 40's with children. Those who don't have children will see that their lazy ass boyfriends are pot heads. So sorry, this shit isn't passing.

And what if it does? Well, just think of the number of Checkpoints on every highway coming out of California. Nevada, Oregon and Arizona will have cops with those dogs sniffing out for the tiniest trace of that demon weed in their vehicles or on persons. It'll be comical, if it's not a nuisance to drive on vacation.

But hey, it does mean that with legalization, the population of California will go up and that would lead to more taxes being levied on them. I mean, everyone loves drugs, right? This can lead to nothing but money raining down on public schools and all the systems that need some funding badly...okay, who am I kidding? All that money will just go to stupid props we pass like crazy trains and more police officers on whatever street corner.

So what's my stance? I really don't give a shit. I don't smoke it. Maybe my Dad would like it. I mean, he does have a pretty mean bong sitting around in his computer area and all. But I frankly don't give a shit about legalization. It's not like it's all that difficult to get now and if you smoke it in the privacy of your own home, what's the problem?

Now I will be pretty peeved if we can get pot legalized but can't get gay rights.

Shocking News: Fewer Teenagers Are Believing Your Bullshit

Shocking News: Fewer Teenagers Are Believing Your Bullshit

It should come to no surprise that less and less teens are actually buying your load of bullshit when it comes to anti-drug ads. That's at least what the L.A Times is saying
The federal government's annual report of kids’ alcohol and drug abuse seems reassuring: Compared with earlier in the decade, use of hallucinogens was down in 2008, marijuana use was way down, and use of methamphetamines was way, way down.

But the researchers and public officials who crunch those numbers warned that some of the statistics gleaned from an annual survey of 46,000 American eighth-, 10th- and 12th-graders were worrisome.

Though drug and alcohol use seems to be declining or holding steady, there has been slippage in teen disapproval of such practices and perception of the risks, officials warned.

Take marijuana use, which had declined steadily among teens since the mid-1990s. This year, 19.4% of high school seniors said they had smoked marijuana at some point in the prior 30 days, as did 13.8% of 10th-graders and 5.8% of eighth-graders. The downward trend has stalled in the last two years, and kids' attitudes suggest a reversal may be ahead.

In 1991, 58% of eighth-graders said they thought occasional marijuana use was harmful. By last year, that number had fallen to 48%, and this year, to 45%.

In a Washington, D.C., news conference Monday, Gil Kerlikowske, the Obama administration's drug czar, called such numbers "a warning sign."

"When beliefs soften, drug use worsens," said Kerlikowske, whose office is expected to release its first policy initiatives to combat and treat drug abuse in February.

University of Michigan researcher Lloyd Johnston, who oversees the annual survey, said there was "serious softening" in the perceived risks of LSD, inhalants and the party drug Ecstasy -- a sign that "a new generation of kids are interested . . . in rediscovering these drugs, because they don't understand why they shouldn't be using them."

Johnston also flagged a phenomenon the survey has recently begun to track -- "extreme binge drinking," or the consumption of more than 10 drinks on a single occasion. Coming on the heels of the weekend death of South Pasadena's Aydin Salek, an 18-year-old suspected of having succumbed to alcohol poisoning, the survey's findings suggest that such high-risk drinking is not unusual among older teens.

Binge drinking, defined as consumption of five drinks or more in a row, has declined since peaking in 1983. But Johnston said there has been "not much decline" in numbers of extreme binge drinkers.

Among high school seniors, 11% said they had drunk 10 drinks or more in a row in the two weeks prior to the survey; 6% said they'd had 15 or more.

The survey also showed that U.S. adolescents continue to raid their parents' and friends' medicine chests. Use of prescription painkillers is at an all-time high: 10% of high-school seniors reported taking Vicodin for nonmedical reasons in the last year, and 5% reported taking OxyContin.

Dr. Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, which has commissioned the survey for 35 years, said at the news conference that teen use of prescription stimulant drugs is holding steady, with just over 7% of 10th- and 12th-graders reporting they had taken amphetamines -- drugs prescribed to many kids in treatment of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder -- for nonmedical reasons. Volkow said that in many cases, teens take these drugs before tests or study sessions as "cognitive enhancers."

Although fewer kids reported taking Ritalin, much of that decline was because kids had merely shifted to Adderall, a newer ADHD drug.

The officials said that youths report some confidence that prescription drugs are less harmful than street drugs.

In the survey's first accounting of where kids get drugs, it found that 66% who reported illicit drug use said they got the drugs from a friend or relative. Almost 19% said they got drugs with a doctor's prescription.
How long were they really expecting this little charade to last? The whole premise of the advertising campaign was to scare children by telling them lies. Did they think that these kids wouldn't grow up into adults and realize it's all a bunch of bullshit? It's like Santa Clause. Eventually the truth floats up to the surface.

Maybe I should underwrite a grant to get requiem for a dream shown in every kindergarten class in the country. I'm sure there will be plenty of people who support that action. But on the other hand, Kids these days, what with the internet and all, are legitimately much smarter than previous generations and this is evidenced through much better writing ability, critical thinking skills, and political awareness.

They ain't geniuses and they're still utterly embarrassing, but they're a damn lot smarter than kids before. Even the stats in this study show evidence of this. Kids know that drug use is not very harmful, and yet choose to not do drugs anyway. Where as kids in the past thought drug use to be more harmful and did comparatively more drugs. Kids are making informed choices and it's not because of the war on drugs.

Perhaps, just perhaps these stats show a more informed population. Kids are actually learning that drugs are not the devil and are still choosing not to use them as much. So it's sort of comical when they still consider occasional marijuana use "harmful". Back in my day, they'd bring in a cracked out hobo to scare the shit out of you. Nothing like a gently weeping man in the front of the classroom to scare kids off drugs, or in my case, make me hate cops.

To be honest, nobody has ever needed a cop to come to their class to inform them that maybe heroin and crack aren't great. All DARE did for me was bring psychedelics to my attention. They sounded pretty cool. And as it turns out they are pretty neat in the way they'll allow you to experience The Matrix. If you want to see how it feels, pop in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or any other Terry Gilliam film and you're half way there.

I also had anti-gang education in addition to anti-drug education. Yeah, I was in that part of town. They told us that gangs often have initiation ceremonies wherein the members of the gang get to rape your mom. I don't doubt that has ever happened, but let's be real here. That's probably kind of rare. You can't pass that shit as completely real. Unless of course your kids are complete morons. Or your educators are also.

I remember watching an episode of Law and Order in the 9th grade and I kept asking the teacher if the cops could get away with it, like breaking open doors without warrants or throwing people on the ground that had voluntarily surrendered. All the teacher could tell me was that "yeah, of course. They caught the rapist after all." I'm not going to defend a rapist, hell I'm not even sure why I used it as an example, but I've seen the way that a cop works.. Not gonna happen that way.

I'm a little surprised that ten drinks is extreme binge drinking. I mean, I'm a fucking lush apparently. If there's no last call or if I'm at a friendly kick back and I have all the night to indulge myself, I'm at least knocking back 15. Shit, just the other week at an event I had at least 7 drinks and I was still way sober by the end of the night. Sober enough to drive home safely.

When you think about it. Of all the drugs one can abuse, pot is by far the most benign. It's really a case of one vice in exchange for another. Liquor abuse will make you slow and fat and destroy your kidneys. Amphetamine abuse fucks with your circulation and makes you a sweaty jittering mess. Hallucinogen abuse makes you lose touch with reality and yourself.

Pot abuse, on the other hand, makes you funny, charming, handsome and brave. That is if you're not one of those lazy pot heads. Fuck those douches. But the US government will never, ever, ever admit that illegal drugs are not harmful 100% of the time, because neither party wants to be seen as being soft on crime. They live in a bubble
"When beliefs soften, drug use worsens," said Kerlikowske, whose office is expected to release its first policy initiatives to combat and treat drug abuse in February.
This is literally the opposite of the truth. The best thing we could do for the war on drugs is not make drugs taboo so that kids get bored with them. Just like we did with prescription medication and yet people don't take prescription medication as a form of drug abuse. Did you know that prescription painkillers kill more people than heroin and AIDS combined? And that shit you can get with a doctors note over the counter.

Salvia can give you a much uglier, more frightening and uncomfortable version of the DMT experience and is legal to boot. So make some sense out of all that if you will. I know I can't. The worse part about Salvia is the way retarded head shops promote it as a sort of legal alternative to weed, which couldn't be further from the truth. See also "Purple sticky" brand Salvia. Why any news agency ever started reporting that it was a legal form of pot was beyond me. It's far from it and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to simply skirt the law to get their high.

In my experience, eating mushrooms could have been probably my least favorite drug experience, its like chewing on a bunch of twigs. Though the pay out was pretty interesting. One thing an ex discovered was that if you ever have an relationship issues, taking ecstasy together would be a great way to fix any relationship problems and be completely open with each other. I'm just going to leave this topic off on that note.. Cause really, do I have to say anymore?

4/20

4/20

Today is one of those days. You know, that a lot of shit happened on. It's only fitting that it is April since it's an already bloated month with nationally observed days, but it seems like you can't escape it when you're talking about 4/20

You have Hitler's Birthday which also fueled the Columbine shootings. But more than anything, you have a ton of pot heads going on about 4/20 because of the stupid pot smoking shit.

Way to embrace a day and show some energy for a bunch of people who lack that energy in every way possible chance to show effort. Just because it's 4/20 doesn't mean it's open season to pot, you pot heads! Now, don't get me wrong. I'm no TCC hater, I just hate holidays as you can see from my hate of Valentines day and any other that tells you to do something on that day you can normally do any other day.

How hard is it to smoke weed the rest of the year? Oh wait, you people already do that. Well, whatever. Perhaps you'll just keep on truckin' with your pot stuff.

Have you ever read this blog....... OOoooooon WEEEEEEED?

Oh yeah.. what was I going to say? Yeah. So there was this one time when my folks were out of town and I was house sitting and got asked by my pops to get some paper work for him from his den and I noticed a bong laying on the floor with the pretty pugnant bong water spilled over. I was a bit surprised that it was knocked over, but then again I was a bit more surprised that my dad had a bong. In retrospect, the man does love jazz and going to outdoor concerts, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise in any sense.

Where was I? I'm worse than a pot head in my story telling. Yeah, well a couple of weeks later when they're back he pulls me aside and very awkardly ask if I knocked over his vase. I look at him confused because I had no idea what vase he was talking about. "Vase?", I asked very confused. "Yeah, my vase.. for my plants..." he said as if trying to dance around the whole pot issue. Then it clicked like a light bulb went on in my head "OOOOOooh, you mean that bong. No, no I didn't knock over you bong."

Yeah, that's just one of the many awkward moments with dear ol' dad.

Oh Obama, this picture never gets old.

But not every movie has to be related to pot. Look at Kumar from the Harold and Kumar films. He was humping a bag of pot in the movies and now he works for the white house. Oh that place should be called the Choom house now. Awwww yeah.

Speaking of movies and pot, you remember that movie Sex, Lies and Video Tape. Holy fuck, what a giant waste of my childhood puberity life. What a complete let down. I imagine that this following movie is the same to you pot heads.

Too bad you'll be completely left not holding because it's not actually about pot. It's an old school Indian movie about a homeless dude totally ganking the system to get really rich a bunch of different ways, but then gives it all up at the end when him and his crew are about to rip off his old group of indigents that first took him in with a government housing scheme. If I remember right it was long as fuck and had alot of singing too.

Which I can't say I'm opposed to singing because I like way too many musicals for a straight man. I'm like the Seth McFarlane without the whole cartoon and animation shit. Musicals and dance numbers just put a smile on your face.

Ok, I've gone on long enough. 4/20 Yo... light it up.. and all that shit.

This Michael Phelps situation is the stupidest thing

This Michael Phelps Situation Is The Dumbest Thing

It was stupid last week when I wrote about Michael Phelps smoking a bong, but now it just reached critical retardness as Phelps has been suspended from swimming and dropped from a sponsor.
(CNN) — Olympic hero Michael Phelps was suspended from competitive swimming for three months on Thursday — just hours after one of his sponsors announced it would not renew his contract after a photo surfaced of him smoking from a bong.

U.S.A. Swimming, the nation’s governing body for competitive swimming, said it was withdrawing financial support for Phelps and barring him from competition during the period of his “reprimand.”

“This is not a situation where any anti-doping rule was violated, but we decided to send a strong message to Michael because he disappointed so many people, particularly the hundreds of thousands of USA Swimming member kids who look up to him as a role model and a hero,” the body said in a written statement. “Michael has voluntarily accepted this reprimand and has committed to earn back our trust.”
There's also an interview where this self-righteous CNN bitch tries to make him feel terrible for unwinding with a few rips from a bong. She says, "I have to ask this because America wants us to ask you this because so many people look up to you... Michael Phelps, what were you thinking?" (she is dead serious, this is evidently not a joke).

Total Pothead

Personally, I'm disappointed in Michael, too. I'm disappointed in him for apologizing to these dicks. He won a giant fuckin' pile of gold medals and brought untold fame to American swimming, and now the media's making him out to be some kind of terrible criminal for smoking weed at a party. It's not like he robbed a bank or stole a car, hell, he wasn't even dealing meth or something else stupid like that. What he does on his own time is his own fucking business.

He should try to get citizenship in some other country, train like the fucking dickens for the next four years, and come out to the 2012 Olympics for the Netherlands or whoever and win nine gold medals. After he wins the last medal, he should jump off the podium and light up the biggest blunt anyone's ever seen, filled with the most expensive marijuana on the face of the earth.

I seriously can't believe this shit. It's like Reefer Madness just hit everyone

I mean, looking at Kristen Bell is pretty addicting but I'm not getting the munchies.

I guessing that they're pissed off because the stereotype of "weed smoker = sit on couch cheeto-eating loser" is being smashed pretty good. I'm sure we're all disappointed in Michael as he uses drugs while middle America takes some viagra so they can fuck their wives.

Who really cares about the Olympics anyway? And really, his career? He's got maybe one more Olympics in him if he's lucky, otherwise he'll basically become a coach or something in a couple years and that's about it. I can't believe he's going to miss out on the amazing February-April 2009 competitions.

And the sponsor that dropped him is Kellogg's. Honestly. Kellogg's, of all fuckin' companies.
"Dude, I'm so high right now. Pour me a big bowl of...

...GENERAL MILLS!"

I suggest all you pot heads smoke up and call 1-800-962-1413 (Kellogg's) and PRESS 1 to "voice comments about our relationship with michael phelps." I called them up and I told them that I am glad they thought of the children, but they alienated thousands of responsible adults and that I will no longer be purchasing any of their products when I am craving some munchies. And if you're high right now and if you haven't listened to The Beatles in a while, do so cause they still are great forty years later.

I'm sure his new sponsor wont be all that butt hurt about the pot. Not to mention it'll more than likely be Doritos.

Perhaps this is all a lesson for Phelps. A harsh lesson about fame. Society builds up these heroes and act like they're hot shit but he's nothing more than their circus monkey, abandoned as soon as the audience finds a spot in his fur or some ticks on his back. No more dancing for peanuts, mikey. Nobody can make you dance anymore.

Someday I'd like to meet a person who is genuinely offended by personal marijuana use. It seems like the only reason to make it such a crime these days is about "protecting the children" or something. I'm sure these people will go on about how the gallows would be too good for him, bring back the rack!

So Phelps smokes, and he's immediately punished. Madoff steals 50,000,000,000 dollars and there still hasn't been a trial, and he's currently free to hide as many of his assets as he can. Good to see our priorities are straight. I guess only when the government can figure out how to regulate and tax the hell out of pot, they'll legalize it. But put your Phish cd's away, folks. It ain't gonna happen. I guess drinking and driving doesn't fund terrorism, and it's the accepted non-rock star crime of choice.

I don't get how some celebrities get the slide on the whole pot thing, but the media calls for Phelps' head. Why doesn't the media freak out about Willie Nelson or Snoop Dogg smoking pot? Yes, I know neither has won 8 gold medals and represented the US in the Olympics, but they're both mainstream figures. Doesn't it even register with these people that he smokes pot AND is the best in the world at what he does?

I ask how I could lose anymore respect for A-Rod...
That would imply that I had any to begin with.

But don't worry Michael, it looks like your media spotlight attention is coming to an end. A-Rod admitting that he took the roids is going to hog up the media's hungry attention for the time being.
What today's many media platforms offer: terrific opportunities to package news.

Consider ESPN's Monday rollout of Alex Rodriguez confessing to steroid use. There are plenty of TV venues for celebs to get a much-hyped star close-up. But for anybody in crisis mode looking to put together an instant PR counterpunch, Rodriguez's tango with ESPN Monday was textbook.

After SI.com's report on Rodriguez's steroid use surfaced last week — quickly followed by a Bob Costas special on the new MLB Network, which suggested that MLB-owned TV won't have to be like state-run TV — the New York Yankees slugger agreed to an interview on ESPN. His only condition, says ESPN's Mike Soltys, was that Peter Gammons would do it — and the veteran reporter, predictably, did a solid job.

Which just makes me think that this whole pot business is even dumber. Unlike A-Rod, pot is not a performance enhancing drug. Much like the glory days of baseball with Babe Ruth, the athletes are actually showing that they are sooooo much better than us.

Babe Ruth would eat tons of hot dogs and drink a ton of booze and he'll still get out there on the field and hit tons of homers. He wasn't a role model. Not by a mile. But he got the job done. Not only can they perform amazing feats and outshine anyone in the field, but they could do it on substances that are downers. It's like beating you up with one hand tied behind their back. That's the ultimate in insults or showing that you're a total badass.

I can only leave you with this final note from SNL and Hulu

It says everything I would have anyway.
Choom it up, homies.

Take Me Out With A Bong Rip

Take Me Out With A Bong Rip

I saw drudge headlining this earlier and I don't get the anti-drug stance of conservatives. Is it because fun is immoral? But if you haven't heard about it yet.... OH NO! Micheal Phelps Smokes Dope!

THIS is the astonishing picture which could destroy the career of the greatest competitor in Olympic history.

In our exclusive photo Michael Phelps, who won a record EIGHT gold medals for swimming at the Beijing games last summer, draws from a bong.

The glass pipes are generally used to smoke cannabis.

God, that article makes him seem like a baby rapist. That is not Michael Phelps. That's every single white guy in a college dorm in the last 40 years. Who cares right? We'll apparently some people
Very dissappointing. The guy should be better than this. It's not about anything more than class, and now it's obvious he has none.

quote:

this is ridiculous. for many years michael was a role model for both myself and my children because of his determination and dedication. no he is getting wasted and doing drugs? what sort of role model does that? the behavior of michael is idiotic and foolish.
quote:
Phelps is a loser!!!!! Its too bad that weed is more important than his career, He needs to grow up!

yes his career is in shambles

quote:
Voice of reason, here: Michael, you need to get your act together. Stop drinking, drugs, and carousing. You want a fulfilling life, not a degrading one. You know what is right, so do it; do what is right and you will have adventures far better than you could imagine. Don't trust me, read it for yourself in the Bible, the New Testament.
Has there ever been a recorded case of a person proclaiming themselves "the voice of reason" and then saying anything at all worth listening to? It's pretty fun to watch idiots abruptly disown someone they previously idolized. For all of you who are saying that he should have to give those medals back, fuck of.

When did professional athletes start doing stupid shit that could jeopardize their careers if caught? Oh yes.. when professional sports first came about. The dude has lil wayne on his ipod playlist how is this a surprise? With a swimmers lung capacity i bet he do some sick ass bong rips. I guess that explains his 12,000 calorie diet.

For a kid who got a DUI at age 19, this isn't surprising. I like to dream that Phelps was ripped out of his mind before each race. I mean like he smoked an entire 8th and drank a 12 pack but he still just MURDERED everyone. If he was ever sober he would be faster than a damn torpedo.

Shiny Role model.. how did he ever fall?

If you kids start smokin the pot you're gonna end up like that poor Micheal Phelps boy. It would be a terrible shame to see everything he stands for go up in smoke.

Yes, yes. He's representing his country..... In swimming. Great. We're number one in self-propulsion in water. Fuck yes. USA numba 1 muthafuckas. It's really not all that impressive. National hero is a bit absurd.

I mean, sure, plenty of people probably think of him that way. There's also a lot of people that think of Dale Earnhardt that way, judging by the commemorative plates. But it's not something that really matters in the long run. Records will eventually be broken and the little kids in the mid-east are still going to get fat trying to imitate his daily food intake.

Can you tell where he's hiding his Bong at?

Americans have an unnatural and insane fear of marijuana this is new. I don't do any drugs but I can't figure out why the fuck everyone freaks out over marijuana yet cigarettes are cool?? Now if only he could do a line of coke off his gold medals. That'd be swell. I find it appalling that such an athlete who has trained so hard and accomplished so much uses such a small bong. Why isn't he wearing his medals. maybe he pawned them to fund his habit that dope fiend
