WikiLeaks Might Get Plugged By Red Plumbers

WikiLeaks Might Get Plugged By Red Plumbers

While part of me thinks that WikiLeaks is just some CIA spook operation that is around to simply take the focus off US actions while playing up other actions... which the mass public is by now not even concerned about, part of me questions if Julian Assange really has his head straight. After all, he is going after the communist with his latest move.
Whistleblower website WikiLeaks, which has published hundreds of U.S. war logs, is preparing to release secret files from Russia and China, a Russian newspaper said on Tuesday.

"Russians are going to find out a lot of interesting facts about their country," WikiLeaks spokesman Kristinn Hrafnsson told Kommersant.

The main goal of the project was the "despotic regimes in China, Russia and Central Eurasia," WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange wrote to potential investors when he launched the website in 2006.

WikiLeaks published some 400,000 secret U.S. military files revealing the truth about the conflict in Iraq. The documents suggest U.S. forces turned a blind eye to evidence of torture by the Iraqi authorities. Other files reveal that the number of civilian casualties was far greater than Washington admitted.

General George Casey, who was in charge of U.S. forces in Iraq from 2004 to 2007, rebutted the allegations of torture.
You have got to be fucking kidding me. Even if he has his "Insurance.asc394." filled with Russian and Chinese sensitive material, this is a big risk. Hell, chances are it's just a bunch of encrypted Anime or movie files.

The facts are that he's Putin a lot of pressure on those governments and chances are likely that if he pisses off the wrong people in Russia, they will actually kill him. I can just imagine the amount of request Iceland is going to get to extradite him over to serve time for leaking sensitive matters

While I do agree with him in that the U.S. and Russia do a lot of dirty jobs in Central Asia and they should both be exposed to the fullest, this guy has to have a death wish going. I can't explain this need to put himself out as a target like this so often. Even if it's to expose China and Russia.

You see, here's the problem with fucking with either of those two power houses. Their powerful interests don't have the client-government model that the US has. Russian and Chinese interest who don't give a shit about his insurance file will simply kill him because whatever is in there is someone else's problem.

If anything, this also means that America can easily kill him and pin it on the Chinese or Russia, as they would both be prime suspects in the matter given all the facts. Then again, when the hell has anyone ever gave a shit about what WikiLeaks has to say about anything. No one cared about the massive flood of papers showing how we turned a blind eye to torture.

I can read the headline of the paper already; Julian Assange killed himself in an apparent car bombing this morning in his driveway. The known pedophile was 39 years of age and the founder of a website called WikiLeaks.

So for all anyone cares, they could kill him with a PO-210 and have the KGB sign their name all over that murder and no one would really care.

And if the Russian isn't man enough, maybe the Chinese will bring in one from their spy agencies to have him killed quickly. It's not like they could afford the civil unrest. They're both in the middle of a party reshuffle and they don't want to fuck around with anything like this.

In all truths, I'm pretty excited to see what he has on China. If he's got CPC internal planning documents, I'd be all over that since it's going to be all about the historic stuff that no one really cares all that much about now. All of the disgustingly evil shit is hard copied only for now.

So it'd probably focus on the current corruption which just blends together with the rest of the corruption stuff.. so it's not a big deal but at least gets it out there and sheds light on it. The only shit anyone would possibly care about in all this would be Tibet/Xinjiang/Falungong related, but the accepted lies out in the public are already more extreme than any truth WikiLeaks could uncover.

One has to wonder why he's not dead yet. At least that's what Jonah Goldberg wonders...
I'd like to ask a simple question: Why isn't Julian Assange dead?

In case you didn't know, Assange is the Australian computer programmer behind WikiLeaks, a massive — and massively successful — effort to disclose secret or classified information. In a series of recent dumps, he unveiled thousands upon thousands of classified documents from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Military and other government officials insist that WikiLeaks is doing serious damage to American national security and is going to get people killed, including brave Iraqis and Afghans who've risked their lives and the lives of their families to help us.

Even Assange agrees. He told the New Yorker earlier this year that he fully understands innocent people might die as a result of the "collateral damage" of his work and that WikiLeaks may have "blood on our hands." WikiLeaks is easily among the most significant and well-publicized breaches of American national security since the Rosenbergs gave the Soviets the bomb.

So again, I ask: Why wasn't Assange garroted in his hotel room years ago?

It's a serious question.
Then I realize what I was missing. For one thing, nobody would ever shut up about it if they did off him. Killing Assange would do literally nothing to stop WikiLeaks with or without the stupid Insurance package he has. But what can you do about a whistle blower? Give him a sternly worded tweet? Threaten to block his internets?

Not a god damn thing.. and I guess that's why I like it. He's going around uncovering all these files as if he's Mulder from the X-files. While no one really gives a shit about what he's uncovering and how poorly it makes America look to the public, he's still doing it. Even if it means potentially pissing off China and Russia.. and most of all pissing off America to the point that we're almost about to label him an enemy combatant.

Fourth Of July - Let's Get It Started

Fourth Of July - Let's Get This Party Started

Getting drunk and detonating shit. That's how I celebrate America! Yeah baby! I got me some Coor's cause, that bud shit is made by Germans though American made explosives are shit, so I'm celebrating the nations independence by blowing up Chinese fireworks!

I would like to start this one off with a question... Do you know what it really means to be All American?

Don't miss the great opening shot of the revolver, the bible, and the don't tread on me flag.
what is it called when you're forced to pay for a standing army that murders people for profit overseas against your personal wishes? SLAVERY! Oh wait, that's what we're doing in the Middle East. My bad.

But hey, this next man, he wants to fight for freedom as well. Only he thinks the real enemy is SOCCER!

Yeah. I'm not sure. Though if you want to go all conspiracy theory on us how about the fact that Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, both signers of the declaration of independence and Presidents died on the same day - July 4th 1826. Maybe someone didn't want them to talk, eh?

But again, I'm missing the point of this festival holiday of leisure. It shouldn't be about remembering a day when the declaration of independence from the British was signed and we cast away the shackles of royal rule, no no. It should be about buying illegal fireworks!

I know people who drive across state lines so that they could buy the stuff that is illegal in California. You know, the good stuff.. the stuff that has far more powder. But hey, gotta celebrate independence some how. Here's some pro-tips;
Put "Black Cats" in glass bottles like a Snapple and screw the cap on quick after you light it. It'll shatter the glass

Fill a coke can partway with water and drop a black cat in it to shoot it about 20 feet in the air.

Buy a bunch of Black Cats in dirt to reenact saving private Ryan or the Pacific moments.

Shoot bottle rockets horizontally at your friends.

Light a bottle rocket while holding the stick in your hand, once the fuse is almost finished, chuck it in the air and watch it take off in a totally different direction than you intended!
Oh yeah, enjoy your $750 fine when you get caught. Though if you're in a big city like New York, if you shoot off fireworks from your building in Manhattan, the police helicopters show up with a search light. It's really cool when you think about it. Talk about lighting up the night sky.

You know what, let me forget about fighting the fallacy of for a few hours... and have a good time. I mean, I can't rage against this capitalistic waste land ALL the time, now can I? Just think of how much celebration is happening right now and planned for the evening.

I mean, people started lighting fireworks off at 7pm on Friday and I just rolled my eyes. Oh yes, in honor of ARE independence day.. Though maybe I'm becoming like the Grinch right now as my heart is warming up to the idea of celebrating the birth of our nation after all.

Happy Birthday, America! Remember, whatever happens you'll always be better than France. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It is true that we're the evil empire of the world, but you know what? Sometimes it's healthy to revile in the fact that we are such evil bastards. Let's give ourselves a round of applause for a job well done.

The 4th of July is really about being as drunk as possible to most americans so i'm gonna follow that path. People are more than happy to blow up themselves in the process and taking themselves out of the potential gene pool all the time. This should be rewarded. We don't need that sort of silliness in our American blood stream. No sir, that would only weaken the species!

Oh man, I'm gonna fire off some real humdingers tonight, yo. Cause I'm American and we do that sort of thing. So what are some of the other big explosions that Americans have caused, cause you know how we love making a big bang!

Oh yes, we sure love to make things go boom! How about this one.

Though, let's be honest. I bet less than 10% of Americans could properly identify this picture, even though it only happened a few months ago. Feels pretty good living in a country where people flying planes into buildings is just kinda par for the course.

That wasn't too heartless, right? I mean.. if I really wanted to get a comotion I would have went with that other big explosion that many believe was American made..

Google Tower 7

Oh man. I'm sorry. That's not very nice, now is it? You know what, let's get back to the circle jerking. Boooyah! Let's get this party started! GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS SARAH PALIN, DON'T TREAD OF ME!

Happy Fourth of July, Ameri-CANS!

No Blood For Highly Toxic Precious Metals

No Blood For Highly Toxic Precious Metals

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.... Sorry, I just had to laugh about the fact that when Obama stated we were going to go into Afghanistan and occupy it because the terrorist where there, I questioned it thinking that they were all in Iran already or... you know, they weren't actually there. So when it's made clear the real reason why we are occupying that country, as you can see in this news story, I just have to laugh because if I don't, I'd start to cry..
U.S. Discovers Vast Riches of Minerals in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON — The United States has discovered nearly $1 trillion in untapped mineral deposits in Afghanistan, far beyond any previously known reserves and enough to fundamentally alter the Afghan economy and perhaps the Afghan war itself, according to senior American government officials.

The previously unknown deposits — including huge veins of iron, copper, cobalt, gold and critical industrial metals like lithium — are so big and include so many minerals that are essential to modern industry that Afghanistan could eventually be transformed into one of the most important mining centers in the world, the United States officials believe.

An internal Pentagon memo, for example, states that Afghanistan could become the “Saudi Arabia of lithium,” a key raw material in the manufacture of batteries for laptops and Blackberries.

The vast scale of Afghanistan’s mineral wealth was discovered by a small team of Pentagon officials and American geologists. The Afghan government and President Hamid Karzai were recently briefed, American officials said.

While it could take many years to develop a mining industry, the potential is so great that officials and executives in the industry believe it could attract heavy investment even before mines are profitable, providing the possibility of jobs that could distract from generations of war.

“There is stunning potential here,” Gen. David H. Petraeus, commander of the United States Central Command, said in an interview on Saturday. “There are a lot of ifs, of course, but I think potentially it is hugely significant.”

The value of the newly discovered mineral deposits dwarfs the size of Afghanistan’s existing war-bedraggled economy, which is based largely on opium production and narcotics trafficking as well as aid from the United States and other industrialized countries. Afghanistan’s gross domestic product is only about $12 billion.

“This will become the backbone of the Afghan economy,” said Jalil Jumriany, an adviser to the Afghan minister of mines.

American and Afghan officials agreed to discuss the mineral discoveries at a difficult moment in the war in Afghanistan. The American-led offensive in Marja in southern Afghanistan has achieved only limited gains. Meanwhile, charges of corruption and favoritism continue to plague the Karzai government, and Mr. Karzai seems increasingly embittered toward the White House.

So the Obama administration is hungry for some positive news to come out of Afghanistan. Yet the American officials also recognize that the mineral discoveries will almost certainly have a double-edged impact.

Instead of bringing peace, the newfound mineral wealth could lead the Taliban to battle even more fiercely to regain control of the country.
So all this time this was the reason why Afghanistan was the "right" war. And here I thought it was all a CIA ruse to control the opiate trade. Well, it's not like we were every going to leave Afghanistan anyway, right? I think I saw a movie about this once, only it had a bunch of sexy blue cat-people in it.

This whole thing is a pretty huge discovery, I guess. Afghanistan goes from not having really anything to being the new minerals envy of the world in one short stroke. The lithium deposits are probably particularly appealing to the U.S. so they don't have to deal with Commie scum in Bolivia.

Oh yes, a mineral wealth in a country already the most corrupt in the world? Fuck yes! Couldn't ask for a better way to start a week off. Afghanistan is going to be America's biggest strip mine - move over West Virginia, we got a new player in the game!

I do have to laugh about the "Just found out" part. Ha! This has been known for a long time, it is an untapped resource that can be held through military power, of course we are in there. Would you look at all this awesome stuff in this country we invaded and occupied? How unexpected and lucky for us! I just can't believe America's luck on this whole war on terror thing. How lucky we are, I tell you! Though if there is actually a lot of lithium, then China is going to freak the fuck out.

Those poor heroin growers and traffickers, they don't know what hit them and what will hit them next. Why yes, I do hope these new found riches bring the Afgahni people many generations of prosperity and good will.. Though we both know that shit isn't going to happen.

You see, if a country is at a certain development level, discovering more resources is generally positive, see for example OPEC nations, etc. Unfortunately if they are not of that level a wealth of resources seems to have a purely negative effect. See as an example the Congo and hell, all of Africa. Look how rich the average Jamican is thanks to Alcoa. Afghanistan obviously falls in the second category. So I can't really see even a glimmer of hope in what should otherwise be a joyous occasion for its people.

Afghanistan will be horribly exploited, of course. The average Afghan is going to get zip.shit for this, just like the resource rich nations in Africa have people who are poor as shit. At least the opium will dull the pain of 14 hour mining days.

How did they even make this discovery? Whoops, we accidentally shipped a team of geologist and their equipment to our temporarily occupied territory. Might as well let them look around while we arrange return flights home. Maybe they stumbled across the precious metals while going through one of those supposed underground mazes Osama was hiding in. Imagine that, finding minerals in a region renowned for its mountains? What a shock!

But do people still honestly think we fight wars to spread democracy, freedom and the American way? I guess the last one is true since the American way is capitalism and.. well, we all know that's about fucking over your fellow man. But really, Americans have been brainwashed by multiple generations into believing this bullshit. It's all about greed. Always was and always will be. Just watch China as they invade and actually succeed in Afghanistan.

All in the name of new laptops!

51st State of Mind - Puerto Rico

51st State of Mind - Puerto Rico

For all of you who are secretly looking to visit all the great states that make up this land of ours, as well as for those of you who own flags.. get ready, you may have to do some adjusting.... Why? Well because Puerto Rico may become our 51st state!
The U.S. House of Representatives will vote tomorrow on The Puerto Rico Democracy Act (HR2499), which includes the holding of a plebiscite in Puerto Rico to decide if it wants statehood. In other words to decide if Puerto Rico wants to be the 51st state of the United States of America.

Reuters reports that it is expected the House will pass the Puerto Rico statehood bill HR2499. However, we don't know what will happen in the Senate. If approved by both the House and the Senate and signed into law by the U.S. President Barack Obama HR2499 will formally consult the citizens of Puerto Rico on their preferred political status if they want a U.S. statehood or continue to maintain their current status.

U.S. is giving parental blessings for the first time in 112 years to Puerto Rico to vote for its future status.

If HR2499 is passed the government of Puerto Rico can amend its constitution and come up with a second constitution with options of U.S. statehood, current status or even an independence.

Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory since 1898. It is self-governing, but depends on Washington in matters of defense, monetary policy, immigration and customs.

The issue of people's self-determination is on the agenda and of concern to other European countries as well. Consider the frozen conflicts in Moldova, Georgia and Azerbaijan. One of the recent successful cases in the world is the case of Kosovo. The conducted a referendum and voted for independence from Serbia. Serbia has not recognized it, but the world has. There is peace now in the Balkans.

Next case may be Azerbaijan. Nagorno Karabakh, a majority Armenian populated enclave in Azerbaijan is a de facto independent republic. After seemingly endless negotiations a formula for peace is put forward by the Minsk group mediators. According to the scheme the liberated territories adjacent to Nagorno Karabakh will be returned to Azerbaijan in exchange of the latter's recognition of of Nagorno Karabakh's right to self-determination and referendum. Azerbaijan is afraid that referendum will lead to independence because the Christian Armenian population does not want to leave in the same country with Azerbaijan because of the cultural differences and past oppressions.

The move by the United States to give its paternal blessing with the passage of HR2499 for Puerto Rico status, whether its statehood or independence, may send a peace message to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Moldova to recognize the change in the global dynamics that the 21st century is the end of colonization and beginning of peace.
And there's absolutely no way this will pass the Senate. In fact, I'm taking bets on the losing spread. Just think about it for a second. It passed the house with much controversy. There's literally no way on gods green earth 100 of the world's most selfish assholes would dilute their voting power by 2 for some place that most of them couldn't even point to on a map. I mean, we all know that 100 senators will of course vote for it because the United States is a shining beacon of liberty, right?

"I choose to give more voting power to brown colored people" - No senator ever

I do wonder how many people against PR statehood could actually point it out on a map.

Puerto Whereco??? -Americans

The scary thing is that Puerto Rico, if a state, will likely put Republicans in power. They are highly conservative when it comes to social matters due to tight catholic upbringing but they also have things in there that most liberal would kill for in the states. They have a public health option but it's only given out to the poor, you can scare shitless most establishments that try to fuck with your consumer rights cause they have fully functioning and ruthless consumer rights agency called DACO.

If PR becomes the 51st state, the whole identity of the current parties in there would dissolve since the only thing that separates them from each other is their position on when it comes to statehood/independence/pragmatism.

Puerto Rico being a state and maintaining Spanish as their principle language could also have a real positive effect against "English only" and other anti-brown laws around the country targeting immigrants and Latino citizens.

Though, hasn't Puerto Rico itself voted multiple times not to become a state? Yeah, it's been over 10 years since the last vote and recent polling has been fairly even along the 'eh who cares not like they want us' or 'no fuck em' lines, and if we actually show 'hey why don't you come on in and get actual representation' to them, I'm sure they may be more positive to the idea.

So right now it's looking decent but any poll isn't a good gauge until we can get some US side reaching out to them. Not to mention the American racist. I can't even imagine what people would do if Puerto Rico actually became a state. I'm pretty sure that people in the south are still calling for the deportation of Puertoriquenos. And if they did, just imagine the tea bagger shit storm, a Hispanic state where white people can't try to force the browns out. It's their nightmare come to life.

Oh Glen Beck, you're such a moron...

So how did the voting go down yesterday in allowing Puerto Ricans to decide their own political future and relationship with the United States? The vote was 223 to 169. Rep Louse Slaughter, D-N.Y. voted present. The Republicans attempted to add provisions to the legislation that would have made English the official language of a potential Puerto Rican state.

Yes, that's right. Every Hispanic Republican is human garbage. There is no denying that. they are literally trash.

I'm Defecting To Canada, eh

Talking Aboot Me Defecting To Canada, eh

What am I talking Aboot? You heard me. This is all true. I'm defecting to Canada. I didn't do it to avoid any sort of draft. No, that time hasn't come yet. And I certainly aren't doing it because George Bush won the election. I mean, that was a while ago... No, I'm going for other reasons. Mainly because I don't really see myself being proud to be an American. In a land where more and more our freedom is being taken away... all in the name of keeping us safe from terrorist, I can't really find all that much to be proud of.

Then of course there's the bigger reason. You see, today is the big day. As much as I don't give a fuck about the Olympics, well beside making fun of the whole Curling shit I blogged about a couple of post ago, I do care about one event. Hockey. I'm sort of a Hockey fan.. I mean, what red blooded human wouldn't be? I once saw a fight that broke out into a Hockey game. It's violent and they're doing in three quarters what basketball takes four quarters to do.

Today is the finals. The gold medal game of Hockey and who is playing who? Well, no other than America vs Canada. The rematch that we were all hoping for. America won against Canada earlier in the Olympics and now the lines have clearly been drawn. Whose side will you be on? America, home of a ton of Hockey teams in markets that typically don't have snow conditions to warrant ice skating? Or Canada, the proud nation who celebrates Hockey as if it is their version of Football.

I think the choice is rather easy. GO CANADA! Don't get me wrong, I love the Los Angeles Kings and I catch the games whenever I can. Even though Baseball is my first love in terms of sports, I still have plenty of room for The Kings. But let's face it, Canada made the sport what it is. It's their players that make our teams look great.

But you see, this sort of comes into conflict with me as I am an American citizen and should, by all accounts, be caring about the medal count that America has going. If I were a good patriotic warm blooded American, I should be cheering for America to get another gold medal to brag about. I'm not. I'm bucking the rules. I'm going for Canada and perhaps that means I should turn in my citizenship.

Yes, that's right. I'm going to give up Dunkin' Donuts, even though I've never even tried them, and instead I'll get Tim Horton's, eh. No, I'm not being nuttier than a Tim Horton's Maple log, I think that being Canadian will be really cool. I get to use a Loonie and Toonie, so you Americans using silly dollar bills, you hoosers should just take off, eh!

What exactly is a Hooser? Well, I'm glad you asked. Now that I'm defecting to Canada I should know these things. It's the losers of a Hockey game that wash the rink so that it freezes again and is as smooth as a whistler's behind, eh.

Speaking of which, Hockey.. yeah, that was the point of this whole blog post. I plan on cheering for the Canadian Hockey team. I wish them the best of luck. They should win. It would be like the American teams losing to Korea or the Dominican Republic in baseball. Oh wait, that happens all the time.

But still, GO CANADA! My new Home and native land! I want to be a Canadian so bad that I'll even go to their malls!

So why not join me in my Super Canadian pose as we all go to the mall. Yes, I'll be sporting a Robin Sparkles shirt some time soon. Booyah!

Canadians are generally good matured. That's what I like about them. Maybe it is because they are slow. I have no idea. All I do know is that they're A-Okay in my book. Maybe it is that slowness after all, the one-eyed man in the land of the blind is king.

I like to believe that I'm part Canadian already. Only a real cannuck would be buying a six'er of Molson at CVS at midnight along with a pack of diapers. Yes, that's right. I did that. Why? That's a story for another day, god damn it. The point is that only a true Canadian would be in that situation, eh!

Besides, how could you turn down their maple syrup? It's so much better than the cheap Ms. Buttersworth crap we get here in America. It's not even Syrup, it's just fucking sugar. Fake sugar at that. I don't want no HFCS on my pancakes, eh! You can get those pancakes and take off!

But wait.. I didn't think this all the way through. I hate Canadian Bacon. That shit is NOT bacon. it's lean pig meat cut to look like bacon. But you know what, I have to take one for the team, eh. This also means that I have to really look into getting a Hockey team that is from Canada. The Vancouver Canucks or the Edmonton Oilers sounds about right

But yeah, eh. So here I go, becoming a Canadian citizen. I better learn the theme song;

O Canada! our home and native land!
True patriot-love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
And stand on guard, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Poking The Idea of Needle Exchange

Poking The Idea of Needle Exchange

A couple of weeks ago in a quick post about pot getting a victory in Washington D.C., I mentioned that the bigger news story in that piece was that there was going to pass a law about needle exchange. That it was more important than the whole pot stuff. I got some feedback in that people were still opposed to it. I had to stop for a second and realize that there was still any sort of backwards place that would be opposed to this.. I still don't know if I can believe it. I mean.. really?

It shocked me to no end that there were people like this one fucker on Freeper who had this to say on the matter.

Freeper on Needle Exchange Program posted:

I prefer the Darwin method.

Joseph Farah posted:

So why all the clamor for this new cause du jour? It comes down to the worst kind of political pandering to a tiny special-interest group. Sure, everyone can feel better about themselves for allocating taxpayer dollars to needle exchanges, but, ultimately, it's nothing more than misguided, phony compassion. There's nothing caring about swapping needles. It's another example of symbolism over substance. But it's even worse than that.
This idea is the natural extension of the condom distribution scam. The same activist groups promoting needle exchanges continue to insist condom giveaways are the best way to safeguard people from contracting AIDS sexually. In both cases, however, we are not treating the root problem -- namely, irresponsible behavior. In fact, we're condoning it. Just as anal sex, with or without a condom, is risky and potentially deadly, so is drug abuse -- with or without clean needles.

How can we justify taking even one dollar away from research into finding a cure for AIDS and spending it on such reckless fantasies? Let's face it. In this age of deficit spending, there's a limited pool of federal money available for all health issues. If some local governments in New York and San Francisco want to experiment with wacky ideas, God bless them. But let's not force the rest of us to subsidize their Kevorkian- style madness.

The needle-exchange lunacy is evidence that our society is losing, not only its moral center of gravity, but its ability to reason -- to think logically and respond rationally to political, social and medical problems.

Let me give you an analogy: You see a guy playing Russian roulette with two bullets in the chamber. One bullet, in this case, represents the imminent death a drug user faces from organ failure or accidental overdose and the other represents the dangers of contracting AIDS. This policy is the legal, moral and practical equivalent of, upon finding such a person, removing one of the bullets from the gun, giving it back to him and saying, "OK, continue your game."

Is there any individual -- let alone society -- who wants that on their conscience? Not me.
now, read this:

Department of Health and Human Services posted:

Since the AIDS epidemic began in 1981, injection drug use has played an increasing role in the spread of HIV and AIDS, accounting for more than 60 percent of AIDS cases in certain areas in 1995. To date, nearly 40 percent of the 652,000 cases of AIDS reported in the U.S. have been linked to injection drug use. More than 70 percent of HIV infections among women of childbearing age are related either directly or indirectly to injection drug use. And more than 75 percnet of babies diagnosed with HIV/AIDS were infected as a direct or indirect result of injection drug use by a parent.
[...]
In February 1997, Secretary Shalala reported to Congress that a review of scientific studies indicated that needle exchange programs "can be an effective component of a comprehensive strategy to prevent HIV and other blood borne infectious diseases in communities that choose to include them." She also directed the Department's scientific agencies to continue to review research findings regarding the effect of needle exchange programs on illegal drug use. The scientific evidence indicates that needle exchange programs do not encourage illegal drug use and can, in fact, be part of a comprehensive public health strategy to reduce drug use through effective referrals to drug treatment and counseling.
more than 75 percent of babies diagnosed with HIV/AIDS were infected as a direct or indirect result of injection drug use by a parent.

Let me repeat that in bold so you can re-read the statement.

MORE THAN 75 PERCENT OF BABIES DIAGNOSED WITH HIV/AIDS WERE INFECTED AS A DIRECT OR INDIRECT RESULT OF INJECTION DRUG USE BY A PARENT.

Can you fucking believe that? I know the internet is full of assholes, I'm one of them. But even I wouldn't dare call myself a "moralists" and run around saying shit that is clearly smoke blown directly up my ass with a straw. These Moralist are full of shit because what they stand for is the exact opposite of any real morality.

Social conservatives demand purity even in the face of good policy... I know, shocking. I shouldn't be surprised but I am. It's like being surprised that the sun is coming out in the morning. But how dare they say that those AIDS babies must pay for their junkie parents' transgressions, isn't that right you fucking red neck hicks. Demand blood and pain. That's the ticket.

Needle exchanges? Fuck that! Why would you want the government encouraging the use of hard drugs, am I right? Around 2000, Sydney established the medically supervised injection center in King's Cross. It was intended as a trail to examine the effect of a supervised injecting room where one would have drug uers in the suburbs. After the usual stream of vitriol from conservatives and Sydney business owners about druggies filling up the streets, it was built and has been running for 8 years there down under. It's operated by Uniting Care, a part of the Uniting Church. Which is a bit of a surprise to see that at least Australian God botherers actually do that whole "help the unfortunate" and "do unto others" business that the churches here claim to.
The Sydney Medically Supervised Injecting Centre (MSIC) aims to reduce harm associated with illicit drug use by supervising injecting episodes that might otherwise occur in less safe circumstances such as public places or alone. Specifically, it is anticipated that supervising such injecting episodes will reduce the risk of morbidity and mortality associated with drug overdoses and transmission of blood-borne infections, while providing ready access to safe needle syringe disposal. It is also hoped that by extending the circumstances in which health professionals have contact with injecting drug users (IDUs) more, particularly those most "at risk", will be engaged with the health and social welfare system sooner than otherwise.

The Sydney MSIC is at 66 Darlinghurst Road Kings Cross, in the centre of the Kings Cross business district. Access is from Darlinghurst Road.

No drugs are sold or kept on the premises. Registered clients receive clean needles and equipment, and advice about their health.

The MSIC conducts tours of the premises for members of the public on a regular basis.

Here's a 2003 Report into the Center by the MSIC Evaluation Committee, and here's number of background articles and reports on the Centre up to 2008. The conclusions of the 2003 report include:

  • the MSIC made contact with its target population, including many who had no prior treatment for drug dependance
  • there was no detectable change in the heroin overdoses at the community level
  • a small number of overdoses managed at the MSIC may have been fatal if they had occured elsewhere
  • the MSIC made referrals for drug treatment, especially among frequent attendees
  • there was no increase in risk of blood borne virus transmission
  • there was no overall loss of public amenity
  • there was no increase in crime
  • the majority of the community accepted the MSIC initiative
  • the MSIC has afforded an opportunity to improve knowledge that can guide public health responses to drug injecting and its harms

Basically all the bullshit complaints against the center turned out to be wrong and it has had a measurably positive impact on the lives of people who had nowhere to turn to before. Since then the fine folks in Sydney have seen the installation of sharps containers in public bathrooms in the City and some positive steps to treat drug addiction as an illness and not a crime.

It's really simple. This shit works. Sadly they don't consider it in the states. Since 1989, Congress has restricted the use of federal funds for needle exchange programs. These are the same fuck ups and voters of fuck ups that opposes HPV vaccines. They also actively oppose vaccine use to control the spread of HPV in young girls because protecting them from a disease will make them more likely to fuck more, I guess. Who knows why really. Causation is usually hard but, for them, it may be REALLY simple. Just my read on their thoroughly idiotic reasoning.

I mean, as long as the baby survives long enough to be born, conservatives don't give a shit what happens after wards. Maybe the baby should pull itself up by its own bootstraps and develop a cure for aids, right? What kind of morons defend an unborn childs right to life but beyond that just doesn't give a fuck about its well being after. Introducing needle exchanges and free condom programs is pretty much the number one reason our government got HIV rates to some of the lowest in the world.

Again, THIS SHIT WORKS!

To assume that people will be encouraged to do more drugs is like saying that the presence of hospitals encourages people to take risks with their health. We might as well abolish medicine. It's really sad that the only time a conservative believes in darwinism is when it's misapplied to marginalized poor people.

I said it before, I'll say it again...

fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff!

Let's Talk About Freedom...

Let's Talk About Freedom...

I'm jumping the gun here. We still have Christmas to get through before we start with the year in review.. in this case, it's going to be a decade in review since we're moving on to a new decade hitting the ten mark. Yup, 2010.. we now have a new digit in the third slot! But since it is the end of the year and we like to remind ourselves of our past, I just wanted to take this time to remind you about Freedom Fries..

This is one of the reasons why I ask if this decade can be over already. Americans as a whole are fiercely proud of their ignorance. It's really quite sad. I will never understand why America labels the French so happily as cowards. The French were consistently very successful violent imperialists and their military helped the US get founded. If you really want to rage against a cowardly European country, it's Italy all the way.

I bet the French are feeling really silly right about now. Oh, what's that? their reaction to all this was;
The Embassy of France in Washington, D.C. made no comment beyond pointing out that French fries come from Belgium. "We are at a very serious moment dealing with very serious issues and we are not focusing on the name you give to potatoes," said Nathalie Loisau, an embassy spokeswoman.
Which is another reason I'm embarrassed to be American when traveling. You're better off calling them Fried Salty Fat Sticks.

Then again, this isn't anything new. Americans have always been the land of shit and during WWI we renamed sauerkraut "liberty cabbage" and Dachshunds "Liberty Dogs". This isn't a joke. We really did that. It's good to know your past so you don't make the same mistakes in the future, right? The reason why we call them hot dogs now is that they were previously hunnish frankfurters but no one could think up an alternative for hamburgers that caught on. I guess n that note, Democracy Steaks sounds pretty good.

What else can we turn into a stupid patriotic symbol? Freedom's Mustard? Did you know that Frenches' released a press release saying that they're not really French so they can save sales. That's really stupid of Americans. How about some alternative to "French" things can we think of to please our narrow minded American minds:

Paris, Freedom
Freedom Onion Soup
Freedom Dip au jus
Freedomed rack of lamb
The Freedom Laundry
Freedom cut green beans
Freedom kissing
Freedom Tickler..

Well, the freedom tickler sounds like a device to be used for enhanced interrogation techniques.

How could we hate a nation that brought us alizee ? Speaking of Alizee.. How about some Freedom Tits?

someone needs to cover that tidday

But you see how silly all this sounds. Perhaps in the coming year we wont fall victim to the mob mentality of renaming shit for the sake of national pride.... ha. Yeah, what the fuck was I thinking. Have you ordered your Freedom tray yet?

I wish I could spend my life thinking up really bad products people buy like that. Till then I'm just going to start selling some Freedom Fries fried in Bacon grease.

Burn The Flag Already

Burn The Flag Already

When I was young I hated pledging to the flag in school. I also hated daily prayer. But then again, I was in a private school and the nuns sure ruled with an iron ruler. God damn you Sister Mary Margret! You see, the flag is very important thing to our culture. The series of articles will prove just that as we are only a few days away from giving thanks on thanksgiving... Our first official meal on this great piece of rock we call the U.S.

It seems that there's a lot of new sales tactics for flags these days. Take for example internet superstar Chuck Norris. He, as a true patriotic soldier, is calling for his fellow teabagger followers to stop using the "modern" American flag and instead, pay him $73.50 for The Chuck Norris Teabagger Flag

How Patriotic! I mean, who would have thought that a tea stain would equal heritage? Then again, do you know what's so god damned American about that $73.50 flag kit? The fact that the price includes $70.00 of pure profit. That's about as AMERICAN as it gets! You too can feel like a revolutionary war hero by waving a flag that would not exist for another 150 years!

One year when I was a camp counselors for the inner city kids at the YMCA I took a flag to hang on the outside of the cabin. It fell to the floor and a girl's counselor saw this and demanded it get burned because it touched the ground. In the middle of the night it was taken and half burned before I could get a hold of it. The moral of that story is because of that situation, I know Flag Code:
Flag Code, Section 3 posted: Use of flag for advertising purposes; mutilation of flag

Any person who, within the District of Columbia, in any manner, for exhibition or display, shall place or cause to be placed any word, figure, mark, picture, design, drawing, or any advertisement of any nature upon any flag, standard, colors, or ensign of the United States of America; or shall expose or cause to be exposed to public view any such flag, standard, colors, or ensign upon which shall have been printed, painted, or otherwise placed, or to which shall be attached, appended, affixed, or annexed any word, figure, mark, picture, design, or drawing, or any advertisement of any nature; or who, within the District of Columbia, shall manufacture, sell, expose for sale, or to public view, or give away or have in possession for sale, or to be given away or for use for any purpose, any article or substance being an article of merchandise, or a receptacle for merchandise or article or thing for carrying or transporting merchandise, upon which shall have been printed, painted, attached, or otherwise placed a representation of any such flag, standard, colors, or ensign, to advertise, call attention to, decorate, mark, or distinguish the article or substance on which so placed shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $100 or by imprisonment for not more than thirty days, or both, in the discretion of the court. The words "flag, standard, colors, or ensign", as used herein, shall include any flag, standard, colors, ensign, or any picture or representation of either, or of any part or parts of either, made of any substance or represented on any substance, of any size evidently purporting to be either of said flag, standard, colors, or ensign of the United States of America or a picture or a representation of either, upon which shall be shown the colors, the stars and the stripes, in any number of either thereof, or of any part or parts of either, by which the average person seeing the same without deliberation may believe the same to represent the flag, colors, standard, or ensign of the United States of America.

To sum up for those of you who fell asleep in the middle of that law text book definition, it's illegal in some sense of the law to deface the flag and sell it in this new and awesome way. You know, in the sense of dipping it in tea to stain it.

The real question is are those really enforced? Flag-derivative products are everywhere. The flag napkins are always my favorite because you can wipe your face of the BBQ mess you made on your face. So perhaps that answers your question on if they're really enforced. But it's all about pointing out the hypocrisy in pretending to be patriotic and not even being able to follow the Flag Code. Then again, there's no penalty for violating the flag code, so even if it were enforced, it wouldn't be any different. The Supreme Court has ruled that penalties for mishandling the flag would violate the First Amendment.

So what do you do when you need to get rid of a flag? You take it to the American legion so it can be disposed of in a respectful manner.... Ha, yeah. Fuck that. I think I can find other ways of disposing a flag that don't include being constantly hit up for spare change or probably raped in the always shady area where the American Legion is located.

The proper way to dispose of a flag is to burn it, but if you don't want to risk someone seeing you doing that and trying to kill you. I think the Boy Scouts will do it for you and it'll earn them a badge. Or you could just dump it in your garbage bag with your other discarded trash. It's a piece of cloth and it's not like it's representing a country that deserves respect. Flags and nationalism mean nothing, you are a fucking child if you think otherwise.

It's not like it matters to most of today's youth. Check out this Miley Cyrus music video;

Missed it? Notice that flag in the background? Yeah.. Now millions of teenagers will think that there are only 32 states in the Union. Thanks Miley.

Oh what am I saying? Millions of teenagers couldn't give a fuck how many shitty states are in this gay union, they're busy masturbating to the person standing in the middle. They're the only ones that still let that little harlot and her christian-tempting back flesh in.

But you know, it's nice to realize that there's some people who actually think for themselves and use this patriotic symbol of standing to a flag and make a statement with it. So much that this website is saying that a 10-Year-Old Will Phillips Is a Bigger Gay Rights Hero Than Obama
Will Phillips, we salute you. We knew the 10-year-old Arkansas fifth grader who refused to recite the Pledge of Allegiance — to a country that actively discriminates against LGBTs — was awesome. We had no idea how awesome until he popped up on CNN over the weekend to retell his tale … in front of an obviously proud, though mildly embarrassed, father, who says it best: "The more I heard from him, the more it became apparent that this wasn't a typical act of juvenile delinquency — this was a a very a-typical act of juvenile delinquency."
Do you think America would be different if articles like this used the word congress instead of the president's name? I sure think so. So this kid went ahead and told his teacher to jump off a cliff because he didn't want to say the pledge of allegiance. It's really a great story and you should see the interview clip

And the news article to it;
"I've grown up with a lot of people and I'm good friends with a lot of people who are gay and I think they should have the rights all people should, and I'm not going to swear that they do," the ten-year-old Phillips said.

Jay Phillips, asked if his son was prepared for the media attention, said his son saw it as an opportunity to raise awareness. "He felt that just because he's ten years old doesn't mean he doesn't have opinions, doesn't mean he doesn't have rights, and doesn't mean he can't make a difference."

A columnist for the Arkansas News has stood up for Phillips against his angry substitute teacher. Predictably, fellow students have taunted the kid and called him a "gaywad," but he says he doesn't see his quiet act of protest ending any time soon.
So the kids went and slaughtered him at school. Not really all that surprising. Kids are pretty brutal and really terrible to other kids. But really, Gaywad? I'm kind of surprised "Gaywad" is still around. Has anyone traced the origin of the term, maybe it's got a longer history than I realize.

Gaywad is about 3x worse than "Gaymo" but Gaywad is very inferior, however, to the more powerful "Gaylord". To be honest though, he's quite the wad of gay, isn't he? I'm pretty sure they probably called him a Gaywad long before this incident anyway. Then there's the lesser known Galord Victorious. I am your GAYLORD, GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES BEFORE ME! Being Lord of the gays isn't that bad when you think about it. It's like Royalty! But I suppose it would be more enjoyable if it wasn't a Sub twink, I suppose. I'm getting so tired of this Gaytriarch.

I mean, this kid is going to get slaughtered at school because that's what kids do to anyone who is different. I'm more worried about the Father. Look at his Dad nervously wringing his hands.... The boys at the mill are going to think he raised a fag.

Good thing the mill closed down 9 months ago.

The again, making children pledge allegiance to your country is really creepy. We should stop this propaganda bullshit sooner rather than later. I guess we're just used to creepy stuff. American nationalism in general is pretty creepy. In the end, I don't think this is AS powerful a motion. It wont end the way Gay couples are treated. Though he really is more of a hero to gay rights than Obama. Shit, anyone who has ever done anything nice for a gay person is a bigger gay rights hero than Obama.

We Our Americans

We Our Americans

July is the month that we get all patriotic and shit. You know, we remember our troops and we blow shit up in a couple of days just to show that we value or independence. But while we "Support Are Troops" we should also take a minute to realize that We Our Americans, after all.

After all, what would we be without the freedom of speech? It's the greatest tool that. Without it I wouldn't be able to write this blog. Look at what's happening in China right now. You can't even google porn! That's true terror.

Now that's the American spirit!

So in an effort to piss on the very nation that gives me this right, this whole month is going to be filled with pretty unpatriotic blogs. Not because I hate America... no no, mainly because I love this place and I only want it to look at itself and see how fucking stupid it is acting. Only then can it correct this shitty downward motion it is heading down.

So let's see.. what's the best way to see how shitty this nation has got? How about the morons who are bucking the system and running the country into the ground.. the voters.

A perfect example of what I mean. This is why California has a shitty budget plan. We keep on putting neat ideas on the books and we vote for them even though we can't afford them. We see a cool idea on the book and then we fail to realize that we don't have the money to pay for it.. We have a system that it's easy to spend money but impossible to raise taxes to pay for it.

Seriously.. what the fuck? I doubt it's the last great civil rights struggle... mainly considering we're still talking about illegal aliens and has racism towards African Americans ever get resolved?

Oh Peta... what can I say about you that isn't already known on why you ruin everything?

This shit.. While I hate Prop 8, do you really need to go to this low?

Ha. A good American here.. Perhaps this is why our education system is total shit.

What the fuck does that even mean? Again, if you're going to protest, at least try to sound educated.

Somehow this magic bus doesn't use gas or fuel in any way to get you around. Fucking idiots.

I'm dying of the irony here. White suburbia kid holding up this sign? Oh man.. I'm laughing my ass off here.

Someone should have told him how that makes it sound...

So you see, America is full of morons. All this month I'll be highlighting some of the less obvious reasons why I think that. So be prepared to toss me away in a jail cell because I'm going to be very Un-PC friendly this month. At least that is if I don't blow off my hand on the fourth...

Which, while I have you on the line for... If you're in the unincorporated parts of Los Angeles, just remember that it's illegal to have shit that blows up. Seriously folks.. don't do this shit. Cops are running around like crazy that day. Can't you tune in and see explosions or just look up and see the pros do this? Fuck that holiday for the simple reason that it causes so much trouble.

Oh Ashley, You So Crazy

Oh Ashley, You So Crazy

I've been hearing these ads on the radio for some time now and I just have to wonder what's the point? I realize online dating sites are big and all, but is there a need for an online dating site specifically for adultery? I won't get into the annoying jingle yet but I will lay out the average commercial for this site:

Girl: "Oooooh I'm so happy - I'm finally getting what I want in bed!"
Girl2: "Oh, did Jeff take some pills?"
Girl: "No, it's not Jeff - I met somebody on the internet who can satisfy me"
Girl2: "Oh wow - does he have friends!?"
Girl: "You don't need his friends - AshleyMadison.com has it all!"

They then lost the stupid slogan of "Life is short, have an affair" but losing that didn't help them get any class. I'm told that they show this commercial regularly during "Cheaters" ironically. Which is to be expected, shuffled in the late night time slot along with those sex hot line ads. But it seems Ashley Maddison kicked it up a notch and pushed for this ad to be put on the Superbowl. It was only shown in Texas. Which makes perfect sense.

I have to ask... WHY? Why is there a need for a website devoted to allowing married people to cheat? You really don't need a website to find someone to cheat with. As with all things, I suppose it would just make it a bit simpler, and a bit more anonymous. Which I guess is slightly better than having them cheat on you with your best friend or something.

Let's clear something up. Divorce doesn't carry a wide social stigma these days. Perhaps in some wing nut religious circles, but by and large, it's an accepted, healthy practice. Some perfectionists might hold THEMSELVES to high standards and consider divorce failure, but that's their own psychosis, not yours. If marriages fail these days, counseling followed by divorce are the socially accepted options. Divorce, arrived at properly, is success at analyzing your relationship and making the intelligent decision about its viability.

The first sign you're a scum bag, you see this screen.

If you're getting married, have the balls to lay out the ground rules with your spouse. Tell them you plan to be faithful to the contract, or tell them you plan to safely fool around once in a while. Give them the truth, which gives them the power to make the same decisions for themselves. It's the caring thing to do. Then again, it would also be the caring thing to NOT fuck around with other people when you're in a relationship and actually care for the person.

Cheating is more than just sex, you are exposing your partner to STDs usually without their knowledge. It's bad enough to stab someone in the back, but to possible expose them to a potentially deadly ailment without them knowing adds to the offense. If you have the need to fuck around, why be in a relationship to begin with? That's what I don't get about all this.

If you don't want to get married, that's more than perfectly fine. Advantage of marriage seems to be the whole tax breaks because it's certainly isn't any sort of security of having a life long partner. You can get tax breaks by incorporating as well, I think. And unlike marriage, you can incorporate with more than one person at once! Unless you live in Utah. In which case it's perfectly legal to marry more than one person. I just have to question your sanity at that point.

"Adultery website" sounds like what your grandmother would call a porn site.

This leads to a new question in spicing up your marriage. Why not just have your wife dye her hair and take off your glasses? Instant stranger. It's kind of like a new woman. If you squint your eyes really hard and really imagine it.

The people who use this website are complete pussies. They're the type to bet both on red and black at the Casinos. I never got that mentality. You're not winning anything. They think that if they have someone at home, they'll always have sex when they want it. As if they lack all confidence in their ability to seduce someone. Really says a lot about a person that they're so morally corrupt and see themselves so low. I guess it's a good reflection because they are indeed pieces of shit.

When you are in a relationship with someone you are basically saying "Hey I like you and you're the only one I want to be with for now". Relationships are also built on trust (yes a cliché, but still true) and being comfortable with the other person. If you want the other person to worry, feel like shit and not trust you and finding out that you have been screwing around behind their back, sure go ahead and be that ass hole.

I'm sure you'll just cheat and get the clifnotes on the book

Maybe the lesson of this is that the moral and the social standards are showing us that marriage is outdated? Assuming there's no religious motivation, there aren't many significant perks to it. A legally-binding contract just cheapens the whole experience, anyway. Maybe I'm just overlooking the tax break? I think it's been a tradition for generations now to get married for the tax break.

Marriage seems to be a holdover from earlier times that won't go away. It really only makes things messier for people given the divorce rate, but I suppose it reinforces the need to stay together for the children in some cases. I don't care if people sleep around in an non committed relationship, but cheating is awful. Getting caught cheating is going to hurt your kids just as much as, if not more than, getting a divorce.

You people do realize that you don't have to rush into marriage. There was a time when you would date one person one night and another the next. You weren't considered serious until it was made perfectly clear between the two parties. It seems that these days people just rush into marriage and then they regret it down the line or look back and feel like they didn't experience life. While at the same time they feel like if they risk finding someone new they'll lose the steady, but doomed relationship they are currently in. Maybe that's why marriages aren't lasting long. People fool themselves into thinking they're happily married only to find out years later that they aren't.

I thought I couldn't see anything worse than those strip club billboards

I'm wondering about the fabric of our society when this type of thing is advertised during the Superbowl. I mean it is blatant unashamed moral failing. Kinda like seeing an ad for Joe's beastiality farm while watching The Office. I am just surprised how easily we accept this kind of thing now days that we allow it in the mainstream.

I'll just finish this off with this. There is never justification for adultery, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a morally bankrupt asshole. If you don't want to be in a relationship with someone, or if they're not getting the job done and you have communicated your problems, leave them. Flat out leave them. Life is indeed too short, but it's also too damn short to string someone along who you no longer care enough about that you're cheating behind their back and violating a commitment you made to them. To do anything less is to be a pussy coward and just shows how selfish you are trying to have eat your cake and have it too.
