Craig's Not So Personal Anymore

Craig's Not So Personal Anymore

If you're trying to cruise Craigslist for a date this weekend, you probably should rethink your strategy and get in some practice in trying to pick up from the local bar. You see it seems that Craigslist has made it harder to do one thing popular on the internet. Whore yourself out.

I was in need of someone's used sofa and I noticed that there was a weird censor bar on one of the options. It seems that there's a censored bar covering up the erotic services section. You know, it's the area where upstanding young (really really old) women would offer their... um, services, and a grainy picture to handsome (loser) males on the internet.

I also couldn't help but notice that the Adult gigs section was gone as well. But that was deleted without any strange censor bar attracting attention to it like the erotic services section. And no, I'm not looking for prostitutes on craigslist but I do have to wonder if this just means that all the traffic will just move over to "Casual Encounters".

It's not even click able anymore. Which if it was, it seems like it would get more business as it makes it that much more visible. But it looks like the whole section was just deleted. Not to mention there's this Wired article for it. I always saw the adult services section as a means to just get arrested quickly.

So I guess they planned on getting rid of them sometime last year and just started to roll out the idea now. Maybe it's because of people like me. I've never gotten or thought of buying myself a hooker.

I guess it's lucky that you can still drive around the neighborhood and find a decent whore. Sure you may have to drive a bit away from home, like where you buy your coke, but at least you can pick from a crowd on which flavor you're into at the moment.

They made a fool out of Craig on CNN a few weeks back about all this. Someone should probably teach him a bit on how to deal with reporters. Here it is. You could skip to the 3 minute mark for him getting terribly embarrassed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbL9XVUfcp8

Wow, Craig is not nearly as cool as I thought for someone who created such a (sometimes) useful website. But seriously, the video is so ridiculous. You can tell throughout the whole video that the reporter thinks this is going to be her big break. That constant smug smile she has just makes me hate her instantly.

To be honest, I don't think he deserves the heat he gets. Women put their ads on craigslist, how are they victims? Maybe of Capitalism, but aren't we all? There's prostitutes on the side of the street, too. But you don't go up to the chief of police saying "There is women selling themselves on the street, how do you protect these victims?!" So what am I missing here?

The entire craigslist corporation is about 20 people total. They really don't have anything like the manpower they'd need to screen every ad everywhere. Back when it was just in San Francisco there was no erotic section or anything. All of the prostitute ads were just mixed in with everything else. Making a separate section just for all that riffraff improved it because it got it out of the personals.

I guess the only thing that's really fucked up is that the dude plays it off like they're even trying to make an effort in filtering it. I could probably find 10 whores a day to fuck on Craigslist if I wanted, they're not screening anything. Just say that they're not responsible for that, because they really aren't.

The news reporter claims that craigslist is "The wal-mart of online sex trafficking", which I think is fairly accurate, right down to the quality of goods for sale. But then the reporter repeats it to the CEO, she changes it to "Child sex trafficking." No matter if it's a slip up or a deliberate change, it's really fucking shitty journalism that is meant to get some kind of reaction out of the guy and toss this into the "Think about the children!" field.

Anyone trying to sell their kids for sex on Craigslist are going to get arrested really fast. It seems silly to suggest that sort of stuff just goes on without the police easily able to look it up on their computers for a quick arrest.

The real reason why she played the child sex slave card was because women advertising themselves to thousands of ugly losers in an effort to make a quick buck just isn't that bad. Sure, there are still all the nasty side effects of prostitution, but it's not like Craig is pimping them out himself.

Besides that, CNN is hardly a disinterested party here. By killing the printed classified ad, craigslist is probably the single most responsible entity for the decline in print media other than print media itself. I'm sure CNN is full of journalist who were directly affected by this and would jump at any chance to run stories where craigslist is associated with scandal.

leg boobs. Ha!

I first heard about this on NPR last week. The claim was that the lawyers wanted to stop the abusive behavior that lead women into prostitution, so they went after one subsection of Craigslist lead by the director of Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, Norma Ramos. Norma was on Forum, an NPR show and the CEO of Craigslist, Jim Buckmaster was also on it

On the show Norma just kept repeating that they want Jim to take that portion of Craigslist down. Several listeners pointed out that Norma wasn't attacking the right thing to achieve her goals but she didn't respond to any of that. Instead she just kept repeating her mantra "Jim, take it down. Take down that site, Jim. Jim. Take it down Jim. You know better than that, Jim." It was pretty annoying and it was apparent that Norma was devoid of thought and came to the program with one talking point and would not say anything else.

Norma, master of logic:

A couple of days later, a listener named Rick from SF wrote in and said this;
Craigslist is probably San Francisco's leading venue for the resale of stolen bicycles. Should we shut down the "For Sale/Bicycles" section of craigslist because it's facilitating the sale of stolen property?
I thought that was a pretty good example pointing out Norma's faulty logic. She never once addressed this, even though the host brought it up several times. Add in that Craigslist started charging $10 per ad in the adults services section to get a credit card number and help in tracking info which could be used to find people if the law was concerned.

They took the money gained that way and donated it. Then a bunch of people bitched at Craigslist for "making a profit" from adult services section off their website. It really seems like Norma Ramos and 17 lawyers are simply trying to make names for themselves by attacking a popular website instead of effectively fighting for the cause which they claim to care about.

But hey, that would be an uphill battle and they already have an easy target in the CEO anyway... right?

Go Out And Get Laid Already!

Go Out And Get Laid Already!

This blog post is going to make me sound like a complete asshole. I know very well that it will paint me in a way of being a womanizer and philanderer. It's a good thing that no one really reads these or at the least I write enough that in a weeks time, this one will be buried deep in the pile of new blog post. More than likely ones that are just silly.

So while I have your attention, let's just get it out the way.. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and well, I can honestly tell you that it is possibly the best day to ever go out to a bar stag and go home with someone. Knowing their name is optional, of course. But unless you're really terrible at socially talking, which chance is you are if you're reading this off face book or twitter, you're going to stand the best chance of getting some through this basic logical action.

So what makes tomorrow such an easy day to find those who are easy? A beheaded saint, that's what. We give Jesus so much praise for dying for our sins but we fail to realize that Saint Valentine died in order for us to get our sin on. Yes, that fool was beheaded and now all these decades later, we're making sure that heads.. are indeed getting all the be-HEADING that a head can get. Thank you Pope! You finally did something right.

This corporate/hallmark holiday has made it that single people, who I really prefer to call "unattached" are singled out like complete losers because they haven't found someone to split their income with. Society tells them that you are nobody unless you have somebody to call you some silly pet name. This public shaming leads me to pretty much guarentee that if you have even the smallest amount of charm, you will get laid on Valentine's day.

But Javier, there's not going to be hot chicks tomorrow at the bar, they must be with their Boyfriends. Not so. Those who are unattached will have no "wing (wo)man" from their married/attached girlfriends. Add in that those same attached friends will be with their significant others means that there will be a slew of ladies that go out to the bars for that sort of feeling.

And don't even worry about a girl looking to hot for you to go up to on Valentine's day at a bar. The facts are these, the hotter women are the ones with the least amount of self esteem. So there's really no reason to hit on them first when you're at the bar. Why would you hold yourself back? Come on, you can't be that bad of a person and really, you just never know.

You have to remember, they are at a bar on Valentine's day. That's a sign that they're trying to look for Mr. Right.......now. Yes, you can be that lucky man that even for one night, will be a reminder to that special lady or man that they are still desired even though they don't have someone to call their Valentine. Yes. They're looking to make a mistake. If you play your cards right, by buying a drink to the ones that look the loneliest.. or in some cases over compensating in trying to look happy while they drink down that fourth appletini, then you can be that mistake.

Am I talking out of my ass? Well, I normally am but I can tell you from my crazy wild youth that I have been out there on Valentine's day and it has indeed worked. You will not need the flowers. Trust me. Don't be that sad pathetic loser walking around the bar giving flowers to all the pretty ladies. Guess what, each person you give a flower to can see exactly who else in the room you gave a flower in hopes to use the shotgun blast method of shooting a round and hoping something eventually hits.

You will be used and abused like you should be if you're trying to pull that lame ass trick. Seriously, you can skip the chocolate and forget the flowers. All you're going to possibly need is to buy them a drink. I know, I'm way off my meds here. On a normal circumstance I would never recommend buying someone a drink. But let's just walk on the wild side here and just put it out there that this simple investment shows that you can actually care enough, where no one else was willing to buy them a box of chocolates, roses or anything else. So a drink seems to be miles ahead of not getting anything at all.

Remember, Valentine's day is a sexist holiday and as a very devout Feminist I should continue to cry out about how we should not celebrate it. But believe me, this is one of those days that you can take advantage of the fact that someone else didn't pay attention to that person and they're looking for some sort of person to fill the void. Just as you're looking for some way to.. fill a void. Oh man, I'm terrible right now.

I suppose the next question you have is how would you approach someone at a bar on Valentine's day without looking like a creep. My answer? Don't. When I used to hit up the bar I would go with the mind set of going in to wet my beak. Nothing more. If you have a sort of stench of desperation in how you carry yourself, it will be sniffed out with ease. If you pull up to the bar and just sit there with a drink and carry yourself as if you belong there, then that will make all the difference in the world.

Chances are you'll have them coming to you. Yes, it may sound like a complete surprise but if you look like you're having a good time then people who are at a bar on Valentine's day looking for a good time feel that you can fill that need. I wasn't even trying to go for the double meaning in that one right there. I may sound like Barney Stinson here, but guess what, it actually does work and it makes perfect sense.

The whole purpose of Valentine's day is to make women feel special. Those women who don't feel special enough or for that matter secure enough, will seek that security in the form of a quick fling. It's just being realistic here. And perhaps this does touch on a nerve of a couple of people as I always get people complaining that I'm degrading a gender. I couldn't be doing anything more further than that. If you're secure with yourself to not let Valentine's day get you, then you will be doing something a lot more enjoyable than a random strange on Valentine's day.

Good for you. But I'm not going to pass up the chance to teach all those who aren't in the know on what the mindset of lonely singles out there. Even if I am in a very happy relationship, I think it's important to spread this word around. So to the single men and women out there who are desperately searching for that significant other.. By all means put the lid back on that Ben and Jerry's ice cream, put on that little black dress or button up shirt and go out there and get a drink at the bar. You never know, cupid may be waiting for you... or at least the Trojan condom guy.

SPRING BREAK WOOOOO!

SPRING BREAK, WOOOOO!

Since I haven't been in a school for many years now and work for a living, I don't have a clue when spring break actually occurs, but I hear that it is upon us. Maybe I'm just getting old and I don't want to deal with a Mexican drug war in my time off, but you wont find me there. I'm not much for being the "let me see your boobies" type.

Picture is pretty fitting given the next paragraph is about Disney.

I think the only reason why I realized it was spring break around this time is because I was looking at my Disney annual pass black out dates and realize there's a huge black out in the two weeks around Easter. I would gander that it's like the Chick-fi-la effect. It's only on Sundays when I get the craving for that food and now it's when I don't have the ability to go that I want to go.

Let's not kid ourselves, Disney isn't the go-to place during spring break in the age bracket that is most likely reading this blog so let's not talk about that. Spring break is typically the time of year when college kids go crazy. Why wouldn't they? With the idea that once you finish school the job market is going to be total shit, I'd be getting pissed drunk, stripping off my cloths and forgetting all those issues as much as possible.

Only I'm a dude and no one wants to see that shit. They've already saw more wang than they wanted in one sitting of Watchmen. What exactly does spring break mean? Well, it's typically two weeks around Easter when everyone needs a break with spring to stop and enjoy the roses. By roses I mean nudity and beaches. Oh yes, keggers. I'll enjoy my own spring break with massive amounts of beer. Minus the actual time off, of course. I guess people try to meet other people during this time of drunken debauchery.

It is spring after all. Something about the smell of fresh roses and things getting warmer just brings it out. So the idea of new romance is always in mind... ok, let's face it. These are flings at best. I don't know anyone who met that Mr./Ms. Right at a spring break party. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it while it last.

"But Javier, where will I get advice on how to land that Spring Fling?" Don't worry kiddies, you have me here to guide you. While I may have very terrible luck with the ladies, if I can be an arm chair critic, I could be a keyboard typing love guru. Especially with the help of the internet. One day when sorting through my spam on hotmail I saw an MSN article and well, it's been magic since then.

Its been a while since I did a paragraph by paragraph assessment of an article. So what the hey, here's an MSN article that deals with dealing with your little spring fling
Lesson #1: It's OK to date more than one person.
There was a time when a date was just a date. One night it was Mona; the next night, Claire, and things weren't considered serious until someone suggested going "steady." Now, we're in the era of the one-cocktail commitment, where dating more than one person is looked down upon. Except on spring break, that is, when you kiss two people in one night while texting a third to meet you at the Tiki bar. But the truth is, those college kids are onto something: If your dating goal is a lifetime relationship or marriage, then you'll have plenty of time for monogamous commitment. Maybe even decades of time. As long as you're truly honest about your actions and intentions with everyone you date, you'll avoid the one break you don't want: the heart one.
Why wouldn't it be ok to date more than one person at a time? I'm not sure I get this mentality in today's society. It should always be ok to date more than one person at a time. That's what dating is. Whatever happened to the days when Peter Parker had the trouble of planning a date with both Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy on the same night.

Everyone should be spinning plates if not in a serious relationship. How the fuck are you going to know what you want and don't want in another person if you don't go out there and date a couple of people and see what you like. Just because I ate at McDonalds for lunch doesn't mean I have to eat there for dinner tonight.

Let's make it clear. It's ok to date more than one person, just not all at the same time!

But I have to say that it's important to be honest and upfront with the other parties. If you're not in a committed relationship, make it known. Too often people think that a couple of dates means that you're already together.

Add in that people fear that if they let it be known that they are dating others at the same time that they'll automatically lose them. Not so, besides are you that scared that you can't find someone who will be interested in you if the current person you're seeing drops out? Remember that humans are competitive as all hell. Being honest about them being one of many that you're dating can actually lead to them trying to win your attention and pull out all the stops in order to come out the victor.

Lesson #2: Don't drink more than your date.
Yes, alcohol can sometimes feel like a nice social lubricant. But before you dose yourself on your next date, take this spring-break lesson with you: It's all fun and games until you make a fool of yourself giving a stranger a lap dance on a public stage and then losing your cookies on someone's bare feet. If you and your date want to tie one on for kicks, go right ahead. Just be sure to do it together, perhaps even in private, lest you get so drunk, you end up in an embarrassing anecdote in a story about bad dates … which is exactly what happened to a guy who went on a date with my friend Jamie. "We went for Japanese food, and he suggested we order some sake," said Jamie. "I said I was good for a glass, but he wanted to get the whole large bottle. When I told him I wouldn't be able to drink that much, he said, 'That's OK, I will.' And he did." Jamie said his drunken behavior was less than attractive, and she couldn't wait to get home.
I suppose this is good advice. I dunno. I mean, it's fucking SPRING BREAK!!!111 WOOOOOO! Pass me the kegger and start it up. WOOOOOOOOOOOooooOOoooo! How else are you going to get someone drunk enough to find you funny and be willing to lower their standards enough to sleep with you?

Well isn't this shot a bit romantic? Or.. just plain creepy. I'm not entirely sure yet which is it.

Drinking actually can lead to a good insight on the person. Depending on what they like to drink and what they wont touch, not to mention the specific stories they'll tell you because of that, it's an excellent way to get to know someone. If they don't touch Tequilla because of one crazy night, you know exactly what there limit is going to be in terms of "crazy nights"

I think the biggest point against this advice of not drinking is how else will you justify that mistake the next day?

Lesson #3: Head to where there are more fish in the sea.
What's one reason all the young things on spring break always seem to find someone? Because there are just so many someones to go around! Give yourself a similar leg up. Instead of hitting the same old local bar full of the same old faces, try traveling a bit out of your comfort zone (and maybe your town), and hit spots where you might meet some new people.
So.. I guess Disney would not be a good place for Spring break? Not unless it's your mother-f'ing Birthday, Yo! Then we'll be dancin' wit Mickey and Pluto all day long, Yo!

I think the real point of this advice is to not be barking up the wrong tree. If you want someone who's going to put out, don't go picking up people at an abortion protest. Which is sound advice if you're actually not shit faced drunk right about now. Which you more than likely are. In which case, stop talking to that telephone pole. It doesn't want to hook up with you nor does it care that your dad owns a car dealership over in Macon, Ga.

Here fishy fishy fishy

Besides, if you go to a place were you normally don't go to find that summer fling, it'll be a whole lot easier to disappear when they start to look for the douche bag who knocked them up. If that's not a reason enough to follow this helpful MSN tip, I don't know what is.

Lesson #4: Order the special on the menu.
One of the best things about short-term, pleasure-seeking trips is that you live every minute like it's your last. If you're on spring break, you see it as a fleeting moment of youth that must be lived to the fullest: You order the special drinks with umbrellas in them, you dance on the beach in your bikini —and you probably take advantage of plenty of other opportunities you might regret the next day. Still, you feel like you're really living. But the fact is, whether you're 20 or 45, you still only live once. So why not make every date special and memorable? On your next date, think spring, and try something daring. Hit the rock-climbing wall at the gym, or order the rosemary cocktail and the sliced beef cooked on the rock. It might be terrible … but it will be memorable. And that's what living is all about.
Wait, what? What special menu? All these years I've been doing this all wrong. I didn't know that there was a secret menu. I guess I knew I could do it "Animal Style". The real test here is if you thought I was referencing Sex or In-N-Out. I'm sure it says a lot about you depending on which one you choose.

I suppose that is something new to try...

I'm still confused by this special menu? I like what I like. Maybe it's because I'm going on 29 but I think I have had enough life under my belt to know what I like, don't like, want and don't want out of someone I'm dating or something I do or eat. Don't get me wrong, I love mixing it up as much as the next guy, I just don't see much of a point in doing so when I'm on vacation. It's time to relax.

Ok, that's silly. I know I'm always up for eating something strange and different but that's my every day me. I know I like red hair, meat medium-rare, my drinks strong and stiff. Nothing new here. I not only encourage everyone to be daring on spring break, I encourage you to be daring every god damn day of your life. This shouldn't be a two week out of the year thing. Go out there and live life always. You never know when it's going to be cut short.

Lesson #5: Make out with someone you'll never see again.
There's one thing partying kids have mastered — the no-strings-attached hookup — that might also be good for you. Why? Because sometimes it's healthy to hook up without thinking about tomorrow for just a minute. That doesn't mean you have to have sex with someone — even consider some sexy kissing in a restaurant parking lot. You may learn a few things about yourself in the process, says Ava Cadell, love coach and author of 12 Steps to Everlasting Love. "Sometimes it's easier to be less inhibited with a stranger than someone you know," says Cadell.

It can also give your self-confidence a good boost by reminding you that you are one good-lookin' person whom plenty of people would be lucky to date. It also provides your brain a nice break from plotting your future together in the first five minutes of meeting. That's true refreshment.

Yeah, I guess making out with someone you randomly know can give you a sense of ego boost. But I have to question the "don't worry about tomorrow" advice. Really? Really?! I may like to throw caution to the wind as much as the next reckless fool but I'm going to at least find out some things about the person I'm going exchange mouth spit with.

For one thing I need to know if they are married or have children. Possibly their social security number and fico score. This is all after a 5 day waiting period because the state mandates this. You can get around this if you go to Mexico for spring break but you'll have to grease the palms of the local police. Best to keep them on your good side, if you know what I mean.

Then you have to clearly do something to extend this ego boost. Show off to your friends. Make out in front of them! No, even better. If you're really a friend you'd make out with them to boost their ego. It's clear that everyone needs ego boosters in this day and age! MAKE OUT WITH EVERYONE! WOOOOOO SPRING BREAKKKK!!!!!

Lesson #6: Go out for guys' or girls' nights out just to have fun together — not to hook up with the opposite sex.
For some reason, those big girls' and guys' nights out often turn into "lonely group sitting in a bar scanning room for potential hookups instead of having fun together." Spring break, on the other hand, is first and foremost, about feeling free and having a blast together — and if that involves licking whipped cream off a stranger's shoulder for laughs, so be it! Mature adults should consider this same approach (well … to a point). So instead of going out with the goal of meeting The One or someone, aim to have a great time with your friends above all else. And what happens from there may surprise you.
Here is my rule of thumb -Never approach someone if they're in a group. You'll be stuck buying everyone at the table a drink or you'll look like a jerk to the one person you're interested in. You're also going to be judged by a panel at that point and like that one out of five dentist that doesn't think colgate kills more cavities, one of those in the group is going to talk shit. Be it because of jealousy or just honesty. It's a losing situation.

So with that said, don't go out in a group hunting tail. It's stupid and ineffective. If you're going out with friends, go out and enjoy yourself and NOT look like you're desperate for such hook ups. Also, a group of guys look intimidating. You want to scare away all the hopefuls? Way to ruin things!

The last thing you want to look like is a big group of losers. That's why I tell my crew to hang back while I'm on spring break. I'm getting away from work/school/whatever, why not take a vacation from them as well? This playa's gotta roll all his own, yo.

Pack mentality is pretty stupid. I have a friend who whenever there was girls around or we went to a bar, he would hit on EVERY GOD DAMN GIRL. It was like he was playing the odds of throwing shit on the wall and seeing if any of it sticks. He was the ultimate cock blocker and it would be annoying as fuck. As soon as he was talking to one and he saw you start talking to a different girl, he would come over and interrupt and ruin the moment. Dick move, ryan! I mean.. wait, yes, this person is unknown. no fuck it. Ryan knows he does this shit all the time. FUCK YOU, RYAN!

Lesson #7: Sunny weather and bathing suits definitely put people in the mood.
If you're looking to amp up the closeness with someone you're seeing (or if the dating you're doing is more like a "date night" with a long-term partner), take a page from kids on spring break: Consider a weekend away in a place that feels like paradise. (Just don't schedule it for the same time the college kids are hitting the same paradise.) "The sun releases more feel-good hormones that flood the brain," says Cadell. And the better you feel, the more fun you'll have and the better your date will go.

Here's another helpful hint. If you don't want to be around a ton of drunk college kids, don't plan on leaving to anywhere in the two weeks around Easter. They will be everywhere. But I agree. There should be more situations where the two of you feel like wearing very little to nothing and enjoy paradise. That should always besomething to keep in mind. So with this one I agree completely.

Less cloths. +1

Lesson #8: Look on the bright side of your date.
On a spring break trip, the goal is to have fun with the people you meet, plain and simple. But in the adult world, dating becomes more like a grocery trip: You pull out your list, push your wonky cart up and down every aisle, and scan the goods. "Do you like spicy food? Good. Been married before? Oh. Have goals for the future? Glad to hear it. Like to travel? Oh, that's a shame ..." Instead of taking your next date so seriously, toss away your stuffy list, and look for the best things about your date. Find out what you do have in common and what you do like about him or her. And as you part ways on the doorstep, don't analyze how you feel about your date too soon. Instead, maybe you want to do what the spring-breakers would do: Go on and kiss 'em! Sometimes that makes all the difference.
I'll extend this to life because I think it's stupid to think that you're only allowed to have fun on Spring break. They say life is really short. Guess what, if you're not enjoying it than it's really really really REALLY long. Make the best of the time you have and you'll be surprised on how much fun the good times can be.

Much like dating. It shouldn't have to be an ordeal to work with. If you find you like someone for whatever reason, go out and have fun. If you find you two don't mesh well or if there's some issues. End it. Life is really long and you don't have to rush into things. Marriage should be something that isn't on your mind.

I have to say it again but you really shouldn't be in a long term relationship till you're at least 25. By then you've more than likely dated a whole mess of people and had fun. Found out who you are and what you want so you don't end up in dead end relationship with complete losers who you're sticking with simply because you're afraid that you wont find someone to love you or that loves you the same way.

Maturity is tossed around a lot but it's seldom actually looked upon in the correct manner. You need to be mature in other ways to be in a good relationship. Most of all, you just need to get some single player action out of life in you before you're ready to go co-op.

Oh Ashley, You So Crazy

Oh Ashley, You So Crazy

I've been hearing these ads on the radio for some time now and I just have to wonder what's the point? I realize online dating sites are big and all, but is there a need for an online dating site specifically for adultery? I won't get into the annoying jingle yet but I will lay out the average commercial for this site:

Girl: "Oooooh I'm so happy - I'm finally getting what I want in bed!"
Girl2: "Oh, did Jeff take some pills?"
Girl: "No, it's not Jeff - I met somebody on the internet who can satisfy me"
Girl2: "Oh wow - does he have friends!?"
Girl: "You don't need his friends - AshleyMadison.com has it all!"

They then lost the stupid slogan of "Life is short, have an affair" but losing that didn't help them get any class. I'm told that they show this commercial regularly during "Cheaters" ironically. Which is to be expected, shuffled in the late night time slot along with those sex hot line ads. But it seems Ashley Maddison kicked it up a notch and pushed for this ad to be put on the Superbowl. It was only shown in Texas. Which makes perfect sense.

I have to ask... WHY? Why is there a need for a website devoted to allowing married people to cheat? You really don't need a website to find someone to cheat with. As with all things, I suppose it would just make it a bit simpler, and a bit more anonymous. Which I guess is slightly better than having them cheat on you with your best friend or something.

Let's clear something up. Divorce doesn't carry a wide social stigma these days. Perhaps in some wing nut religious circles, but by and large, it's an accepted, healthy practice. Some perfectionists might hold THEMSELVES to high standards and consider divorce failure, but that's their own psychosis, not yours. If marriages fail these days, counseling followed by divorce are the socially accepted options. Divorce, arrived at properly, is success at analyzing your relationship and making the intelligent decision about its viability.

The first sign you're a scum bag, you see this screen.

If you're getting married, have the balls to lay out the ground rules with your spouse. Tell them you plan to be faithful to the contract, or tell them you plan to safely fool around once in a while. Give them the truth, which gives them the power to make the same decisions for themselves. It's the caring thing to do. Then again, it would also be the caring thing to NOT fuck around with other people when you're in a relationship and actually care for the person.

Cheating is more than just sex, you are exposing your partner to STDs usually without their knowledge. It's bad enough to stab someone in the back, but to possible expose them to a potentially deadly ailment without them knowing adds to the offense. If you have the need to fuck around, why be in a relationship to begin with? That's what I don't get about all this.

If you don't want to get married, that's more than perfectly fine. Advantage of marriage seems to be the whole tax breaks because it's certainly isn't any sort of security of having a life long partner. You can get tax breaks by incorporating as well, I think. And unlike marriage, you can incorporate with more than one person at once! Unless you live in Utah. In which case it's perfectly legal to marry more than one person. I just have to question your sanity at that point.

"Adultery website" sounds like what your grandmother would call a porn site.

This leads to a new question in spicing up your marriage. Why not just have your wife dye her hair and take off your glasses? Instant stranger. It's kind of like a new woman. If you squint your eyes really hard and really imagine it.

The people who use this website are complete pussies. They're the type to bet both on red and black at the Casinos. I never got that mentality. You're not winning anything. They think that if they have someone at home, they'll always have sex when they want it. As if they lack all confidence in their ability to seduce someone. Really says a lot about a person that they're so morally corrupt and see themselves so low. I guess it's a good reflection because they are indeed pieces of shit.

When you are in a relationship with someone you are basically saying "Hey I like you and you're the only one I want to be with for now". Relationships are also built on trust (yes a cliché, but still true) and being comfortable with the other person. If you want the other person to worry, feel like shit and not trust you and finding out that you have been screwing around behind their back, sure go ahead and be that ass hole.

I'm sure you'll just cheat and get the clifnotes on the book

Maybe the lesson of this is that the moral and the social standards are showing us that marriage is outdated? Assuming there's no religious motivation, there aren't many significant perks to it. A legally-binding contract just cheapens the whole experience, anyway. Maybe I'm just overlooking the tax break? I think it's been a tradition for generations now to get married for the tax break.

Marriage seems to be a holdover from earlier times that won't go away. It really only makes things messier for people given the divorce rate, but I suppose it reinforces the need to stay together for the children in some cases. I don't care if people sleep around in an non committed relationship, but cheating is awful. Getting caught cheating is going to hurt your kids just as much as, if not more than, getting a divorce.

You people do realize that you don't have to rush into marriage. There was a time when you would date one person one night and another the next. You weren't considered serious until it was made perfectly clear between the two parties. It seems that these days people just rush into marriage and then they regret it down the line or look back and feel like they didn't experience life. While at the same time they feel like if they risk finding someone new they'll lose the steady, but doomed relationship they are currently in. Maybe that's why marriages aren't lasting long. People fool themselves into thinking they're happily married only to find out years later that they aren't.

I thought I couldn't see anything worse than those strip club billboards

I'm wondering about the fabric of our society when this type of thing is advertised during the Superbowl. I mean it is blatant unashamed moral failing. Kinda like seeing an ad for Joe's beastiality farm while watching The Office. I am just surprised how easily we accept this kind of thing now days that we allow it in the mainstream.

I'll just finish this off with this. There is never justification for adultery, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a morally bankrupt asshole. If you don't want to be in a relationship with someone, or if they're not getting the job done and you have communicated your problems, leave them. Flat out leave them. Life is indeed too short, but it's also too damn short to string someone along who you no longer care enough about that you're cheating behind their back and violating a commitment you made to them. To do anything less is to be a pussy coward and just shows how selfish you are trying to have eat your cake and have it too.

Who Pays For Porn?

Who Pays For Porn?

Bettie Page died last month at the ripe old age of 85. She left behind the rift in the sexual acceptance in our media. While we playfully allowed it to seep into our society in a sort of acceptable level, even having time square be filled with seedy theaters filled with pornography, our society has backed off from allowing it entirely in. As is evidence of Time Square now being a Disneyland type of tourist trap.

The question on Who actually pays for porn anymore shouldn't really be questioned. I'm sure there's plenty of suckers out there who... well.. I guess don't know how to use computers? I dunno. I'm sure there's plenty of people who still enjoy ordering their porn off mail order and getting it in some non-discrete black or brown paper bag. Or perhaps they like wearing the trench coat to the local "Le Sex Shoppe" to buy whatever they're craving.

Break down on who's downloading porn...
Damn South Korea, play some Starcraft, will you?

With the ease of getting anything at your finger tips with just the mashing of your keyboard buttons it shouldn't come as a surprise that the pirating of porn is at a new time high. Or that it's finally come to the attention of those who petty their smut. So are you ready for a fight that isn't very sexy, nor does it contain pillows. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls leeeeetttttssss get reeeeeeeeeeeaady to Ruuuuuuuuumble!

FREE MARKET DEATH MATCH: YOU PORN Vs. VIVID ENTERTAINMENT

In one corner we have Vivid Entertainment. To some degree, it's a respectable adult entertainment company. They crank out many videos a year and follow whatever guidelines there is to follow in the field of.. pornography. In the other corner we have You Porn. It's pretty much the Youtube for porn. I suppose that Rule 36 is in effect there.

Either way that link is way to fucking long to write out. It's just Vivid vs Youporn going at it because Vivid wants to get its material of a free porn channel. Seems that people are getting wise to this internet thing and, well, free porn on this screen and box thing is starting to appeal to people.

High Quality Porn or Low Quality Buffy Episode (Season1)

Seems that the porn industry is losing cash left and right. It looks like not many pay for porn. In the news today......

Larry Flynt and Joe Francis were (comically?) Asking for a Government pull bail out.
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Another major American industry is asking for assistance as the global financial crisis continues: Hustler publisher Larry Flynt and Girls Gone Wild CEO Joe Francis said Wednesday they will request that Congress allocate $5 billion for a bailout of the adult entertainment industry.

“The take here is that everyone and their mother want to be bailed out from the banks to the big three,” said Owen Moogan, spokesman for Larry Flynt. “The porn industry has been hurt by the downturn like everyone else and they are going to ask for the $5 billion. Is it the most serious thing in the world? Is it going to make the lives of Americans better if it happens? It is not for them to determine.”

Francis said in a statement that “the US government should actively support the adult industry's survival and growth, just as it feels the need to support any other industry cherished by the American people."

“We should be delivering [the request] by the end of today to our congressmen and [Secretary of the Treasury Henry] Paulson asking for this $5 billion dollar bailout,” he told CNN Wednesday.

Flynt and Francis concede the industry itself is in no financial danger — DVD sales have slipped over the past year, but Web traffic has continued to grow.

But the industry leaders said the issue is a nation in need. "People are too depressed to be sexually active," Flynt said in the statement. "This is very unhealthy as a nation. Americans can do without cars and such but they cannot do without sex."

"With all this economic misery and people losing all that money, sex is the farthest thing from their mind. It's time for congress to rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America. The only way they can do this is by supporting the adult industry and doing it quickly."

So far, there has been no congressional reaction to the request.

I'm just happy that I had a CNN article to quote and I hold on to my Journalistic integrity by not having to site TMZ for this story. I'm going to need as much integrity to get a pass for the next paragraph cause it's going to be... hee, what? I just have to get it out of my system.

Looks like the porn industry are in it deep. They must be hard up for cash. They're on their knees and they'll do anything. They're just in a tight spot. They put their money in the bad area and got fucked by a few investments. They took one to the face and it's just hard to swallow such tough times. But perhaps I can get behind this bailout. It would really get the industry out of a sticky situation. We should really go to their aid. They're too big to fail. They just need to offload their immediate liquid assets and then quickly merge with as many partners as possible to lower overhead.

Ok. That's it. I've got it all out of my system. How about something besides terrible puns?

Diesel SFW XXX - Watch more free videos

You would assume that the porn industry was going to die because if no one is paying you for your content then you're going to have to turn to ad revenue for profit. But it's always advertisements for other porn sites. So that makes it sound like a huge pyramid scheme. Which makes you wonder if there's any outside money other than the cash being pushed around from site to site. This is the wrong way of thinking about it.

I know a friend who did an internship for a porn site. What he learned is that if you make a form and put some tits on it, someone will put their credit card number in it. Even shit like this gets freaks putting in their credit card info. Careful, Not work safe. It sounds amazing but I can use something said about the auto and bank bail out towards porn.

This is ridiculous, these companies have continually failed to drive innovation or technology and are quickly being outclassed by the Japanese. If they can't compete let them fold, its not the onus of the tax payer to support big industry that refuses to grow with the time.

Larry Flint makes some of the worst pornography on the market and Girls Gone Wild is too sad to be arousing. These two men brought this on themselves. The quality of commercial porn is terrible all around Oh. Oh. Oh. Yes. yes. yes baby. verb my noun. oh yeeeeessss I can almost hear the mundane tone in the actors voice
oh baby I'm almost there ok I'm there.

I'm a content creator. Or at the very least I like to believe that I'm creating some sort of content. I'm really not that opposed to piracy. I read comic books online. I listen to music on the radio and I download a lot of new sounds. If I like it I support it in some shape or form. I'm thinking that this won't kill the whole porn industry. Mainstream porno is going get rolled, but fetish websites will get those strange weirdos money no matter what.

The demand for high production quality was never terribly high so the digital age meant literally everyone with a handycam and a couple spare table lamps could produce and distribute pornography that was 90% as good as the highest quality professional pornography. its socialism at work and the only losers are the bourgeois bead-throwers.

how much would it cost to produce a porno anyway?
1 nightvision camera
1 relationship

Or you can go the whole high class production method and get the following:
3 big ass lights (can be rented for a day for about $75 or so)
1 mini DV camera + tripod (near $100 rental per day of shooting)
1 editing-capable PC (chances are you can do it on your desktop PC)
Editing software (free on torrent, yay!)
1 male performer (ranging $700-1000 per day of shooting)
1 female performer (ranging $900-1500 per day of shooting)
1 Script (write it yourself, you cheap bastard)
1 Director (this would be you)
10 crewmen or so (draft friends, assuming you can use the camera yourself)
transport and make-up. I mean, no matter how pretty your performers are, the camera is merciless.
Food for the day

This is, of course, mid-end porn. You can go amateur for quite less.
1 webcam ($40) + bored girls with ok boobs or couples looking to put on a show + connection to internet ($40) = future of porn . So crass, so soulless... no craftsmanship, no spirit, no art. But then again, who is claiming this stuff is art? Those ashamed of just calling a spade a spade.

That's the thing I don't get. You see congress get all up in arms about nudity or sexual content in the media. Ever look at the news racks at your local market? I question why they allow the sale of Romance novels at the market. I suppose it's because while it's porn, it requires literacy so the moral majority is unaware of its existence.

When will I request my bail out money for this Internet comedy stuff? I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't get a dime... for... just about anything I write. I mean, there's payment somewhere involved in this, right? CURSE YOU YOUPORN!

Maybe they have it all right. I mean, if someone was willing to pay me to get naked, you're damn right I would. Hell, I've gotten naked drunk for free! What am I doing not charging? Perhaps a bail out is needed. Can we somehow use Obama's Yes We Can chant somewhere in this movement?

Yes We Came
