Breast Cancer And Abortions

Breast Cancer And Abortions

I try not to hate on the whole Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer gimmick... mainly because it is a cause for fighting cancer and bringing about awareness to it and potentially getting someone to go get checked out, but when the whole pink marketing of it comes into play I really just get uneasy. Did you know that originally it wasn't pink, it was salmon colored. But hey, salmon color doesn't attract the same level of donations and make it girly enough so let's drop that idea.

Then you get into the notion that.. you know, there's cancers that aren't solely attached to the breast. And while society really makes a big deal about boobs, the number of different cancers is just insanely long and a lot of them are highly overlooked because of what one would consider the lipstick lesbians of the movement.

And while I'm not normally opposed to giving to a foundation that is searching for a cure, things like this make me shake my head..

An undisclosed portion from the sale of each Walther P-22 “Hope Edition” will be donated to the Seattle Branch of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The gun retails for $429.99.
There's just so much wrong with that, that I can't help but just feel ashamed for our country. Why yes, the "hope edition" of a death dealing tool. Sounds awesome. But hey, at least they're giving or willing to give to the cause. This next set of pictures taken off facebook just shows the ignorance is all around when it comes to breast cancer funding/money and the whole planned parenthood pull out of the Susan G. Komen foundation.

$8 Billion Abortionplex... yeah, which I really only have one reply to all that and it comes in the form of this brave and blunt cancer survivor.

Linda Burger, 56, says a few choice words who want to toss politics into the mix in how policy is dictated around there for breast cancer. I highly recommend you show it pass it around.
