Scarlett Johanson's Censored Super Bowl ad

Scarlett Johanson's Censored Super Bowl ad

So here's your first look at some of those ever dwindling hot Superbowl ads...

Sorry Scarlett, you're insanely hot but this commercial just didn't hit the right marks. I'm sure coke and pepsi will be just fine.

I didn't find anything worthy of the censoring. I mean, maybe Pepsi didn't like another advertiser jumping in and bashing the sponsor of the half-time show. but... like, who cares?

Lame ad.

The Simpsons Going Japanesee

The Simpsons Going Japanesee

In a tribute to Miyazaki yet again saying he's going to retire, The Simpsons paid tribute to his amazing work in the area of Anime with this little clip. Enjoy.

And while it's been some time since I've seen any anime myself, I can't appreciate all that this clip is doing in highlighting the man's amazing work in the past... no matter how strange it often comes across as.

They Should Play This In Theaters

They Should Play This In Theaters

Because I'm sick and tired of rude annoying people using their cell phone and talking through the film.

Besides, I also do love the way popcorn screams in pain.

Oh Hey, Scientology From The L. Ron Hubbard Youngen

Oh Hey, Scientology From The L. Ron Hubbard Youngen

Snap Judgement is a show on your local public radio station that has people telling stories, poetry and whatever else in front of a stage of folks. This one is rather special and should be seen to believe. I mean, it's not like you believe Scientology is anything legit anyway. This just helps you along in realizing how terrible it actually is.

Coke - The Choice of those Too Stupid To Use Protection

Coke - The Choice of those Too Stupid To Use Protection

This ad tells the truth about parenthood, I guess. Which I'm not sure what it has to do with Coke, even if it is named Coke- Life. Like tossing Life in the name makes it any less sugar water of diabetes death.

Maybe Coke Life comes with rum already mixed in there?

Oh, That's Why The Duck Dynasty People Are Fucking Backwards

Oh, That's Why The Duck Dynasty People Are Fucking Backwards

This video explains it all..

It's because they're fucking backwards ass people who are very hung up on the bible and in true fashion, like to only pick up the quotes and passages that fit them.

Need I remind you, folks, that your first amendment gives you the right to say anything you want. But it doesn't protect you from your boss not liking what you say and making a choice to fire your ass if it doesn't fit in with their views or if it effects their bottom line.

It would not be considered censorship. But then again, A&E buckled because, after all, they care about ratings and the musings of backwards ass hicks typically draws in a large enough crowd to warrant their ability to talk a lot of shit about whatever they want.

So hey, don't act so surprised now that the show is going back to normal... as normal as it could be.

Love in the Modern Age - her

Love in the Modern Age - her

In the movie her by Spike Jonze, you have Los Angeles in the future... a future we'll probably never see based on the fact that there's actually, you know, a good public transit system. But in any event, you have the protagonist dealing with the fact that he's falling in love with his all too life like operating system.

And it makes sense, in the sense that you really have to question love in this modern technological advanced age. This shit could happen. But most of all it makes you question what love actually is to begin with.

This 15 minute piece on the matter is really interesting and should be checked out, as it's really a great watch.

The News: As Good As it Got

As we start his new year in 2014, one could only hope that the number of fuck ups by news casters continues. Because man, was last year chalked full of good flubs.

The bar is set pretty high in 2014, but I'm sure we can make it work.

Your Idea of Beauty Should Be Curbed

Your Idea of Beauty Should Be Curbed

Now that we're two days into the new year and I'm sure most of you have already given up on that New Years Resolution, I want to make you feel a slight bit better about your choice to just say fuck it. I mean, the whole notion of beauty and being in great shape is an illusion.

The standard muscle bound man you see doesn't have practical uses for those muscles. It's all for show and not for actual practice. Then you have the concept of society accepted beauty. The type you see on magazine covers and what not. Yeah, that's not a really healthy goal to aspire to. Especially considering how much touching up is done on your average photo of a model.

So I solute you, good ma'am or sir. For just saying fuck it. I mean, it's one thing to do it for that whole health aspect to it. But don't kill yourself to shoot for goals that are well beyon the reach of anyone without the use of photo shop to begin with.

Daft Rabi - Getting Clarity

Daft Rabi - Getting Clarity

There's no doubt that Daft Punk cranked out the best album last year. Don't believe me? Shit, even the Jewish of the Jewish used it as the basis to use.

If that's not an indication of impactful albums, I don't know what is.

Fake Beers

Fake Beers

Now that we're in a season that has a fake fat man climbing down your property and filling it full of... well, let's be really, the fat man is fake and as much as I would like to drink some of these beers, they're fake as well...

Ah, maybe I'll try to create some. I am the creative type and it's christmas, meaning that the best gifts are the ones that you don't spend a dime on and make yourself.

Happy Late Birthday, Superman

Happy Late Birthday, Superman

I mean, it happened back in October, so I'm way late to this party, but I saw this little clip of Superman throughout the 75 years and I couldn't help but feel like a huge nerd and all that jazz. Even if DC is pretty much screwing up in every decision they make and what not.

But hey, let's look back at those fun times with the man of steel.

awww, memories.

Los Angeles - Under Some Different Lights

Los Angeles - Under Some Different Lights

Time lapse videos aren't anything new, but this one of Los Angeles is just so breathtaking that you need to watch it. To see all the different angles of Los Angeles under the lights of some very cool looking perspectives.

Really is amazing to see.

Work Bitch, Unless It's Working Out

Work Bitch, Unless It's Working Out

Britney Spears newest single 'Work Bitch' some how gave her a distinctive Madonna-esque English accent, but the most telling thing about the song and video is that, well, that she looks good in it. Just check it out for yourself. Though remember, mute is always an option.

The ironic thing, and the main reason why I would even cover something like this, given that I couldn't give a rats ass about her music or her personally, is that this whole "WORK BITCH" sort of mentality is one of those 'do as I say, not as I do' sorts of things. You see, for as much as Britney telling you to work, bitch, she's not doing much work herself.

Working out, that is.

Apparently the Video FX company that worked on the video did a major amount of work in slimming down the diva. So that smudge tool on photoshop isn't just for covers of Maxim and Cosmo anymore, I'll tell you what!

Hoax Films provided the visual effects for 'Work Bitch,' and according to the website, Sound and Picture, Hoax is padding their resume on this one as they completed sky replacement shots, set extensions and clean up. Many are saying that the raw footage to the final product are vastly different and that the "clean up" included waist-whittling and general slenderizing, pixel by pixel.

So this thanksgiving when you're thinking about getting that second portion of turkey and stuffing, well, perhaps you should go right ahead and do so. I mean, if you're worried about your fattier image in the family videos, just call on Hoax Films. A company that clearly sounds totally legit.

The Difference Between Porn Sex and Real Sex

The Difference Between Porn Sex and Real Sex

Sure porn has become so much easier to find, which probably has caused a slew of new insecurities with relationships when one partner can't be as bendable or as willing to take a load to the face as is seen on those wacky intern porn material.

Now that we're in the middle of December and the easiest warmth to find is probably that of the embrace of another warm body, perhaps it's a good time to put your expectations into a bit more realistic standards from what you see on that boob tube.

I don't think I'll ever see a banana the same way again.

Decker Isn't really a Replicant

Decker Isn't really a Replicant

Here's an animated version of Blade Runner made out of 12,597 watercolor paintings. Swedish artist Anders Ramsell spent the last year and a half working on a tribute to Ridley Scott's Blade Runner. In the form of watercolors of every shot in the film.

Yeah, that was impressive. Still, unless it has Decker's voice over, I will always fall asleep through this film.

DANCE OFF!

DANCE OFF!

So Capital Cities have a song that has a pretty neat little music video that highlights dance moves from the last 100 years or so. And I have to say it's a god damn catchy tune.

Why post this? Cause it's one of my favorite videos for the year. And not to mention for the brief moment when that blonde roller girl comes on. I mean, maybe I'm just a byproduct of the era, but that just does it for me.

Either way, the dance moves are pretty nice. Kind of makes me want to take up some swing dancing again after a lapse of 10 or so years. I use to have some life to my step, I'd tell you. I could do the Charleston and the lindy hop like no one's business.

Either way, what a great video.

I'm on a Boat!

I'm on a Boat!

I think we can all agree about how Disney's Planes was all about with this simple video;

Boats from Justin Dec on Vimeo.

I wasn't sure if it was a Pixar or a Disney film, but then again, it's a lame Disney sequel or side story that felt like nothing more than a cash grab.

A Year in Music

A Year in Music

Well, 2014 is right around the corner.. as in, next week. And since we're all done with Christmas by now, at least I am. God damn, go away, Christmas! I think it's high time we just talk about the year that was - all shittiness that it has been. But at least the music has been... well, has been something to take my mind off how shitty the rest of the year has been.

I usually say that next year will be my year. I mean, 2013 just seemed to be all sorts of unlucky. Maybe an even year will be my good luck. In any case, here's some of the music I was digging.

Capital Cities Safe and Sound

Which could very well just be lumped in with the other hipster music that goes around, isn't that right, The Naked and Famous?

In any case, I dig these sounds as a nice soundscape type of noise. Then you got stuff like this that just makes you shake it out and dance on that dance floor.

And catchy lyrics that seem relevant to the weather right now..

Then back to soundscape awesome sauce

Let's see what 2014 brings. I pray something good.

Weddings Are Elementary, Dear Watson

Weddings Are Elementary, Dear Watson

Now that you've more than likely skirted around waiting till the middle of January to watch Sherlock on PBS here in the states, and more than likely watched the BBC One airing of it, here's a preview for the next episode.

Looks mighty good, I must say.

No Shit, Sherlock

No Shit, Sherlock

2014 starts off just right, if you ask me. Because now that we're at the first day of the year, we get some new Sherlock later tonight.

Oh BBC, you know how to do the Holidays right. And here I was just lamenting the fact that we saw the last Matt Smith Doctor Who episode just a week ago. For every door that BBC shuts, they open a window indeed.

Good times.
