The Million Dude Hangout

The Million Dude Hangout

Today Jon Stewart, no - not the black green lantern, gathered today in what I hope isn't remembered in the vein of our generations Woodstock, though Woodstock also had corporate backing and was attended by rich kids who got drunk and high all weekend too. So maybe I'm being a little bitter and misguided in thinking that.

But still, this is a rally to bring back sanity and the chances are there's going to be so many awful costumes in the crowds that it'll make Washington look like it's comic con with politics. Not to mention the amount of folks going there simply to get drunk and potentially get laid with total strangers in the middle of the national mall is far from anything near restoring sanity. Which I guess is where Stephen Colbert comes into the picture.

You should be afraid of the amount of folks who will probably get arrested for indecency. Ironically a tens of thousands of person event about political discourse that won't have any political discourse because, a series of speakers lecturing to a massive crowd isn't discussion. Do I also need to point out that "restoring sanity" is a pretty empty gesture. Then again, this is the daily show... The place you go when you want to laugh about total lack of function that politics serves.

This rally just comes down to one major battle.. Viacom vs Newscorp and who will come out on top. Newscorp is pretty damn ugly, but they give me a pay check. Viacom is obnoxious in every possible way. So really, this is a battle between two really ugly beast.

I'm curious as to what the turn out for this will be. I'm going to go with about 400,000 people. Most of them will be stoned out of their mind or at least with some sort of "legalize pot" banners and not really concerned about politics in the slightest. After this whole event the media will then not shut up about how much young people care about politics for the next few days before the results in Tuesdays elections comes out and shows that the young voters didn't actually give a fuck.

To expect folks to go to the rally and not just be looking for fun or to say they were there is silly. The last thing they actually want is some sort of serious lecture about political discourse and the current standing of our nations health.

The Daily show the other day had Obama show up on the show and even though I voted for the man, I had to laugh when he said the following.
"This is the most significant piece of legislation in this nation's history."
-Obama, regarding the healthcare law that was passed on The Daily Show
I just have to wonder if he's actually buying his own bullshit. Maybe he's just saying it in hopes that the stoned out viewer watching the show will potentially buy into it. I mean, that was just so out there.

Then he went on to correct the expectations of "Yes we can"
"Yes We Can, but it's not going to happen overnight. When I say that when we promised during the campaign, change you can believe in, it wasn't change you can believe in in 18 months. It was change you can believe in, but you have to work for it."
-Obama
Yeah. He's a hundred percent correct... just not in the way he means.

Troops to exit Iraq in 18 months, officials say
2/25/2009

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Obama is expected to order all U.S. combat troops to leave Iraq by August of 2010, administration officials said, closing the door on a war that has led to the deaths of at least 4,250 members of the U.S. military and tens of thousands of Iraqis.
It's pretty clear that the level of expectation that Obama inspired in all of us is just not something we're going to reach. Is that a bad thing? By no means. It's just reality and we should hanker down for some tough times.

He's certainly did a lot more than Bush did in getting us out of this hole we dug for ourselves. I guess folks just hoped and had some expectation that we would take some express magical elevator out of it.

This rally for sanity may be comedy.. and it may just be a place for like minded Daily Show viewers to enjoy some jabs at the system we feel so disenfranchised with, I'm just hoping that it gets a larger attendance than Glenn Beck's rally. Now that would be some fucking comedy gold.

The Jews Control The Media

The Jews Control The Media

As it's always the case, something happened on a day when the daily show was not scheduled to air. This always happens. They take a two week break and some major news that can be parodied and mocked occurs and we never get to hear Jon Stewart's comical take on the matter.

Thankfully in this instance it's only a matter of hours before The Daily Show is back on so we can get some reaction to this news. You see, it seems that beloved CNN crazy asshole, Rick Sanchez, who you could see here getting tasered

Well, you see.. He said a thing... or maybe I should say he said a few things...

Rick Sanchez: Jon Stewart A 'Bigot,' Jews Run CNN & All Media

CNN's Rick Sanchez made controversial comments on a Sirius radio show Thursday, calling Jon Stewart a "bigot" and saying that CNN and the other networks are all run by Jewish people.

Discussing Stewart with radio host Pete Dominick, Sanchez said that the "Daily Show" host has a limited worldview, and called him a "bigot."

The conversation began with Sanchez decrying "elite, Northeast establishment liberals" who "deep down, when they look at a guy like me, they see a guy automatically who belongs in the second tier, and not the top tier.

"I think to some extent Jon Stewart and [Stephen] Colbert are the same way. I think Jon Stewart's a bigot," he said. "I think he looks at the world through, his mom, who was a school teacher, and his dad, who was a physicist or something like that. Great, I'm so happy that he grew up in a suburban middle class New Jersey home with everything you could ever imagine."

When asked who Stewart is bigoted against, Sanchez said "everybody else who's not like him."

Sanchez would eventually retract the "bigot" claim, settling instead on calling Stewart "prejudicial" and "uninformed."

But he made a larger point when Dominick suggested that Stewart could understand being part of an oppressed minority group because he is Jewish.
Maybe getting mocked on the daily show on a daily basis made him finally snap. Okay, we need to just stop for a moment and revisit that last clip. Here, CLICK IT.. I dare you to CLICK IT.

So after his little out burst and a quick fast forward through his contribution to the network, well.. let's just say it came as no surprise that CNN pulled the trigger on this moron.
CNN released this statement:

“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“

They will broadcast CNN Newsroom from 3-5pm for the foreseeable future.
Just goes to show you that Jon Stewart has taken out more American journalist than the Mujahideen. This makes two people fired and one show Jon Steward has canceled on CNN so far. His Jew magic is quite strong. If you ever meet him in person, you probably should just run the other way.

Jon Stewart is probably the most effective advocate the democrats have going for them and just for one minute, consider what that says for all parties involved.

Dobbs was able to rag on Mexicans for years and years before the pressure finally got him kicked off. It's pretty funny that it took less than a day to get him kicked off the air. In short - You don't fuck with the Jews. And so what if Rick Sanchez was one of the few mainstream news folks that said Israel broke the ceasefire in the Gaza siege.

The sum total of his "Fact checking" efforts consisted of reading newspaper articles on-air. When print journalism finally dies CNN is going to have no idea what's happening outside of New York and Atlanta.

Let's face it. Israel is in pretty bad shape right now and nothing anyone is doing is helping.. especially not anything the Jewish forces are doing is helping, but then again, we can't do shit to them or risk losing one of the only friends (that we pay off) possible.

Here - In case you don't know what this is referencing...

It really was his own idiocy that got him in the end. He called Stewart a bigot because he literally does not have the vocabulary to properly convey his thoughts. Jon Stewart isn't a bigot, he's a classist. Get it right, CNN anchors.

It's not as if this does much. All horrible people in US media come back more horrible than before. See Tucker Carlson, Lou Dobbs, Elliot Spitzer. They're like roaches. You can't really ever claim that they are gone for good.

He wasn't very good and his show was really awful. He basically hosted a glorified clip show on CNN. He checked what was trending on Twitter and reported that as real news. Yes, he sounds like a relevant journalist, especially those previously posted Daily Show clips.

He's the dude who thought that Africa was South America and he was basically every Rob Riggle character come to life. It's only a shame that we don't have Rob on the show anymore. If he showed up on Monday, that would have been amazing.

I also go the impression that he was fired because he was critical of CNN, not so much of the Jew thing. His job was basically filling the dead air that not even Wolf Blitzer's time is worth. They'll just replace him with repeats and no one will care.

But is insinuating that the media is run by Jews that bad? It's essentially the same as insinuating that the government is run by white people. This is a pretty well circulated urban legend and, I'm pretty sure it's a science fact these days.

They basically fired him for saying that Jews are NOT an oppressed minority. Jews are so powerless and oppressed as a minority that in unrelated news, a TV personality was fired within hours of making a remark that could possibly be understood as mildly anti-semitic. "Well, I guess Jews really do control the media".

For the record, working on a film studio, I have to admit that it is awfully crowded with strange sounding days off that I, growing up catholic, am not familiar with. Then again, maybe it's just cause a Gallup poll found that most people are prejudiced against Christians than Jews.

Rough 43% of Americans admitted to having prejudice against Muslims. It's no wonder they can't get that darn cultural center off the ground.

Though considering CNN did fire the person who brought Rick Sanchez to the network two weeks ago, this was just the thing they needed as justified excuses as to shit can this moron. Good riddance. Now it's only a matter of what Jon will do tonight because of all this.
